Took a chance on this with no reviews, one over the usual kit, and I'm very happy with it. The case is indeed solidly built, hefty, and the fan is nice with two pin modes (quiet and normal). If you're like me and wanting to do this as a weekend project, let me save you a little time as you might have some of the same questions during setup: - Fan: Take an extra second reading the fan wiring instructions carefully, it's super easy and clear to install but if you mix up the pins like I did the fan will run but it will interrupt booting (and give you a solid red light with no green). I thought this was an eeprom error and spent too much time troubleshooting it that way, but realized I had the wires mixed up. Works great now with no problems. - Feet: The rubber feet are indeed cut out from the adhesive even if they don't look it at first, just peel away and stick, no need to cut them out. - Heatsink: It doesn't look like the two smaller heatsinks (of the 4) can be in place with the case top on; instead there's two heat-pipes that extend down from the case lid that rest on the two small chips. Maybe someday I'll apply thermal paste to make the connection, but that day is not this day. The other two larger ones apply nicely. - Seating: Carefully slide the pi board power/hdmi ports into their holes first, and then push down and it should sit nicely. Otherwise the holes won't line up and you'll be momentarily confused. - Case snaps together and stays tight, then four screws from the bottom to secure. The micro to hdmi adapter is nice to have too.

It was easy to assemble, the heat sinks and fan are a nice touch in a solid aluminum case. I set up the the fan option to turn on at 60C and even when doing heavy stuff like pishrink on the pi itself the fan only kicks on every once in a while for like 15 seconds or so, works well. We all know the PI, this is a nice overall kit for sure.

Received In brand new perfect condition. And very well packaged. Easy to put together and setup. The fan wires are a little confusing because of different instructions. So I decided to go with what’s on the back of a card that’s also supplied. And that’s the correct hook up. One big note just buy a kit with the os software on the card. Life is so much better. I ended up buying Beamo 64GB card with the os. And all is good. Highly recommend!!

Not much to say if the pi4 that is not already said. I did buy the version with the 4GB So some words about the rest of the bundle. The case is great, very well made and perfect fit. The heat sinks included do not interfere with the case. The instructions are clear. The power supply does what it should do and power the pi. I didn’t connect any external drives yet so there shouldn’t be much of a load on it anyway. I will update the review should the power supply fail to deliver the 3amps. I expect it to work just fine. The shirt cable for the hdmi is what I don’t like so much. The plug does not “click” in place. That could be the fault of the Pi or the plug. It sits well but does “wiggle” a little. If you like me and moved this thing around or even travel with it it might become a loose connection at some point. I will look for an angled micro hdmi plug that I can plug in and fix to the housing to relive strain on the plug. That is a “issue” with the choice from the raspberry pi folks to use the micro adaptor for the screen. Understandable since they wanted to keep the form factor if the whole pi. The fan included runs pretty much silent on the 3.3 volt setting (Pin 1 in the Board). I used it as media center so far for about 2 hours and the case wasn’t even warm to the touch. So no real load on the pi but still nice to know. Just because of the case I will not buy any pi case made out of plastic anymore. The case is hefty, it even has mounting holes to mount in a wall or the back side of a TV. A rock solid case. Definitely would get the same set from them again should I need to buy more. Seems to be a great buy.

Update.. after fixing the fan it has been working perfectly Original post below for my one star rating. I have since changed it and I'm very happy with the product. I been working with the Raspberry Pi for years, and have worked with well over a hundred of them. I normally purchase the "CanaKit" and have had great luck. This is the first for this company and their QC guy hasn't given me a good first impression. I would like this to work, because the case is really nice and fits together very well. The fan didn't spin at first, but I was able to "kick" start it. It clearly is rubbing on something, because it make a bunch of noise. This was still before I put the case together. Once the case was together, the noise was quieter, but then over time the fan stops and a while later the system shuts down. I am going to reach out to the company and if they correct the fan (Send a new one at no cost to me) I will plus up the stars. In the meantime, I am going to reimage the system and see it that was the cause of the powering down. Will follow up. Update. Replaced the fan and it has been running fine since.

This kit was an awesome buy. The came with all one would need to build their PI with a case. It includes the HDMI adapter to use a regular HDMI cable. The plus with this kit I got was the heat sinks fit with the case/fan so the cooling will work well. They even gave me a bonus HDMI-HDMI cable, which was a nice touch, so I didn't have to go digging in my cables box. I love the power adapter, although you can use any USB-C cable and power adapter, because the one with the kit has an inline power switch, so you don't have to unplug the cable from the wall or the Pi, which makes for quick force power down/up, though you should never need it, but... I would have preferred a box with all the components in it, rather than the bag it all came in. The Pi box was a little dented and thankfully wasn't damaged, but it was shipped in a bubble bag and not a box with airbags. Some rough handling might have damaged the Pi at the wrong angle. In any case, great kit and great value. Thank you Vilros!
