The mat is the more typical kitchen mat, in that is it has good cushioning to provide support and comfort for standing for longer periods of time. It also has a very good non-slip feature; the backing on this mat provides a really good grip on smooth surfaces so you don't have to worry about this mat sliding around on you. It feels a little strange with bare feet due to the pattern on the mat, but nothing too bad. It's also very good with water resistance/absorption, so placed near your sink area it helps keep the floor from getting wet or stained, and the no-slip feature doesn't let the mat, even when wet, move around, so you still have s table work surface to stand on. That's where I have it, in front of the sink. The gray color is on the medium dark side, so it works well and will help hide spills and stains in between cleanings. And, cleaning is easy - a quick shake outside or a swipe with a wipe, and a few sweeps of a broom and it's set. There is a noticeable rubber smell when first opened and used, similar to most rubber-based products, but the odor dissipates quickly. One drawback for me is the width - the 17 inches is a little too narrow; a 20 or even 24 inch width would be more appropriate for most kitchen or utility room purposes. That said, I was fully aware of the narrow width when ordered, so this is more a preference of mine than a misgiving on the part of the manufacturer/seller, but a bit more width would enhance the value of this mat. ... show more

Mat arrived as expected. Rolled up neatly and well protected for ease of transport. Measurements are correct while providing nice coverage for area of choice. I do wish the cushioning was a bit more thick in depth. Not much give to the memory foam. Overall a nice mat. While I don’t feel like I would benefit from the claim of anti fatigue. I do find that if you have an area you want to protect from outdoor elements, this would be helpful. Possibly a doorway when removing shoes. Outside your shower so the tiles don’t get wet. Laundry room or if you have your washer and dryer in the garage. Easy to wipe down and keep clean. Lightweight with a pretty scalloped design. Priced comparable to others on the market. ... show more

Our puppy chewed our old kitchen anti fatigue mat. We waited until he grew out of that habit to get a new one. The length is what made me settle on this one, and I'm glad I did. It is perfect for in front of the sink and counter on the one side of our kitchen. I think it is more comfortable than the old one. I love that it has a pattern and is not just "solid". I got this because I like to work on my crafts at a sit-stand desk and standing is a big part of that. Unfortunately, I have hardwood floors and it's killer on my feet and back standing for hours on end doing my crafts. This mat was a real life-saver! I was able to stand on it for several hours today and my feet only hurt a little (normally I can't feel them or my legs and my back is in terrible pain). This really is a loverly kitchen mat!! I love how soft and cushy it is to stand on...feels fantastic on bare feet. The deep chocolate brown color is pretty and goes great in my kitchen and I love the subtle Moroccan style print. It's also really easy to wipe clean and seems quite durable. The length of this one is also amazing, it's one of the longer I've seen of this type and covers the entire front of my sink area and then some!! Got this for our family farm. I was pretty skeptical about this cushioned floor mat but upon first setting foot on it I was very impressed; it is very comfortable and cushiony. It lays flat despite coming rolled up and it is non-slip unlike the rug it replaces. It's plenty long but I do wish it a little less narrow, even two more inches would have been fantastic.
