These placemats are thicker than most but they do slide around on the table and anything that touches them leaves a mark so I constantly have to wipe them off with a sponge and they are a bit smaller than other placemats I've had in the past. Overall they are a nice quality product.

I love Villeroy and Boch manufacture rock series. I bought several dishes from this collection. I was happy to find the matching mats, they really look good. The problem with them is the horrible quality. It says on the instructions that stains should be removed with damp cloth only. So it never works! I used the mats only once. My husband’s put his tea cup on the placemat. the stain from this cup couldn’t be removed the next minute it appeared. Totally disappointing experience. I hope I did not buy a fake. ... show more

I would NOT recommend buying this product. Every single food item that lands on these placemats stains. Must use a product with bleach (I bought them in white), let it sit and then scrub like crazy.
