These pieces of furniture are made of solid wood, no particle board. The fit is very good. Complete assembly is required however everything lines up very well and assembly hardware makes these units very sturdy. The finished products are quite attractive. There are two reasons I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. First is that the assembly instructions are somewhat difficult to follow. For the novice is could be very trying. The second is the packaging could be improved. I ordered 2 pieces of furniture which came in a total of 4 boxes. All boxes were torn open in shipping. Pieces were missing from both units. I sent pictures of the damaged boxes and a list of missing parts to Vidaxl and they have agreed to send missing parts. I was able to assemble the side board minus one drawer so I could accurately write this review. I will probably order more furniture from this company. ... show more

This piece is beautiful. Instructions for assembling the wood were hard to understand but the hardware was well marked and aligned very well. More importantly, some hardware was damaged in shipment. They took it very seriously and promptly worked to resolve the issue. I am well satisfied with the product and with the resolution for the damaged hardware. ... show more

Do Not Order this item! I tried tit twice and both times the pieces were damaged! Wood was chipped on the corners and the side wall was already cracked and coming apart.
