firm and supportive floor mattress | side sleeper review
edit after 7 months of floor sleeping: my hip pain has gotten better, so I decided to make this the sole mattress to sleep on, it actually works so well for me now! compared to layering with 2 mattresses before, it’s much easier to fold up now when I need to, changing sheets is also a breeze. this mattress kept its shape and firmness without any visible sagging or indents so far, I believe this is a very good mattress for floor sleeping. the mattress looks well made, it’s as thick as advertised, it didn’t take long for it to pop up, though it does need some shaking for it to be fully even. slept on just this mattress on the hard wood floor for two nights, if you sleep on your back, this has the perfect firmness and support, if you’re a side sleeper like me, it’s does have good enough cushion for your hip, depending on how much your hip bone sticks out. for me, I have hip pain on one side of my hip and not the other side, I can sleep on this mattress on my the good side with no problem, it dips enough to contour but is firm and supportive enough so you won’t feel the floor, but my bad side does need a bit more softness and height than this to be fully comfortable. again that’s just for personal reasons, otherwise the mattress would be a lightweight option for floor sleeping, it’s also foldable with its strip sewing design, and very easy to put on fitted sheet. a solution I’ve devised to achieve more cushion and comfort for myself is to buy another reasonably priced floor mattress with a similar design and thickness, if not just slightly softer, to layer on top, that’ll be a perfect floor sleeping setup that still maintains the convenience of changing sheets and moving. in the end, I think this is a good solid mattress for floor sleeping for back & side sleepers if you have no hip problems.

Great sleep achieved for back sleepers | Not thin but not super thick like photos, not a problem | Heavier than you’d expect | size is true to what you order, we got a queen and it’s totally worth it | Air out upon arrival and you’ll be fine, every mattress smells a little when you open it | Appearance is clean and sleek, can fold up and stow away under bed or fold against a wall and sit on it there | I don’t see an issue with durability, throw a sheet on there as it comes bare | great for babies too - 7mo old crawling around loves it

Great for guests! Decent for the price

Surprisingly plush for what it is! I used it to fill a the floorspace in our U-shaped couch for a sleepover party, and while we also had blankets and it was on a pretty cushy rug, everyone had compliments about sitting on it and wanted to sleep on it over the couch! I also have an authentic single sized Japanese futon and it’s about 2/3 as thick once it puffs up (takes a few days to really puff up) but still comparable for the price. I wouldn’t use it for everyday sleep use personally (I need more cushion) but for guests or as an extra topper or plush base it’s perfect. I could see some people using it every day if they like a floor futon.
