This is a very high quality product. I slept on it on an oak hardwood floor and found it to be almost as good as my regular bed. HOWEVER...once it is out of the package and fully expanded, it will never fold up nor roll up. If you try to fold it, it springs open again. You will have to store it accordingly.

This futon/mattress was exactly what I was looking for! I had been experimenting with sleeping on the floor to help with my back pain. I found this mattress, but was a little hesitant with lack of reviews when compared to similar options. I’m glad I went for it. It’s the thickness I was looking for. When I was sleeping on the floor without a mattress, it was hard on my hips if I turned onto my side. I don’t have that issue with this mattress. It’s pretty firm, but comfortable. I don’t have any back issues when using it. In the morning, I roll it up and store it in a corner in my room. Overall I’m super happy with this purchase!

I was a little nervous at first while looking at this product, because I had just previously returned a different brand of a futon mattress that did not virtually expand at all after days. So I decided to give this one a try and to my surprise it expanded to about 90% of its capacity within an hour. I'm so much happier with this futon. People were not being picky when they complained about the smell on this thing. I get that it probably should be obvious to get a tatami cover for this thing before use, but let it be said anyway—do NOT use this before putting on a cover, because this thing will suck up your sweat better than a cotton t-shirt and throw that stench right back at you like a smelly gym sock. Why doesn't this thing come with (at least) a cheap cover? BUY A COVER, Y'ALL.

Fantastic product! Super comfortable as a topper to older futon mattress that was slightly collapsing to where you could feel the wooden slats of the futon frame when lying on original futon mattress. But now, with this mattress laid on top of old futon mattress as a topper it worked out great! Worth every penny (and affordable) to help revamp an already functional futon. No more feeling futon frame slats! Would definitely recommend this product!

First, I really like the look and feel of this mattress. It's well made and "fluffed up" pretty quickly (within several hours). However, it is not 3.5" thick. I would say more like 2.5" and some change. I don't think it's even quite to 3". That was disappointing. I let it set for several days and it never got any fuller than it had in the first several hours. I got this as a flexible sleeping option to use at home. I have some very noisy neighbors who tend to keep me up at night. So, I needed the option to move to another room if needed so I can sleep. I have slept on this mattress for 2 nights now. It's not as great as my normal bed, but it does the job. I can feel the floor after a period of time, but it certainly beats a pile of blankets on the floor or my recliner! The length and width were as advertised and it's heavy but not so heavy to be hard to move around. This will definitely do the job and I will definitely consider reordering in the future! I just wish it were as thick as they said it would be.
