It's near impossible to find a table topper in this smaller size that doesn't look like great grandma's table topper that matches her antimacassars. Having a burlap weave, it does have a rustic look; however, it will mix fine with eclectic contemporary. The fabric is surprisingly soft and supple--very nice. I just received this today and it looks nice! It's actually pretty soft as well. The color is true to the image. I'm using it to protect my glass top table. I don't think the frayed edges would fray more unless you're not careful with cleaning it. I haven't washed it yet but I would recommend doing it by hand and not wringing with out to harshly. ... show more
