I ordered the bright green and pink version of this keyboard skin. The colors are very vibrant and really pop against the Space Gray MacBook Pro. It's pretty . . . but that's about where my admiration ends. The skin did not adequately line up with the keyboard and it obstructed the backlight - especially the little light for the caps lock. I figured I could adjust to something that seems so minor, but I gave up after too many typos from not being able to tell whether the caps was on. (Who knew that the little green light for this key mattered so much? I didn't even realize that I actually rely on it.) Additionally, I found that quite a few of the shortcuts listed on the skin were not working as intended. Overall, it's nice looking and will offer protection to your keyboard - which seems pretty important for the latest MacBook models that are experiencing issues with specks of dust rendering the keyboard unusable. But, if you actually are looking for it to be functional too (with backlight and relevant shortcuts), I would suggest trying another skin. ... show more

Not good at night with lights off because does not allow show through of lit keys and you can only barely make out the keyboard cover letters from the screen light.It is well made and fits perfectly, and lays flat perfectly, but I would not buy again because it is useless with lights out. The shortcuts are a good feature and I had hoped to learn them by frequent use, but I will probably replace it before that happens. ... show more

i loved the colors, but it kept sliding off, so i returned it. Update: I changed the rating from a 2 to a 1 and if there was a zero, I would rate this product a zero. In addition to this sliding off, some of my keys stopped working; letters m, j,u, the semicolon, the ' and number 7. I was hoping it was just a quick fix glitch, and a $6 product didn't mess up my computer, but that was not the case. The keys started sticking after having this thing on top of my keyboard I bought this product around April/May 2018 and returned it shortly after. Then I bought a wireless Apple Keyboard off of Amazon bcz I knew that fixing my keyboard would be more expensive. The wireless keyboard is okay, but I need my keyboard back. I just dropped my laptop off at the Apple store like 10 mins ago and it will be $428 to fix. Additionally, I won't have my laptop for four days. Don't let a $6 or $7 product end up costing you over $400 in repairs like I did. This really blows! ... show more

I spent an entire day looking through different keyboard covers, until I found this one. Being a cute keyboard cover is one thing, the fact that it doubles as a cheat sheet for the short cuts is what sold me. I spent 20 mins trying out every shortcut on this, and it worked. Yes, yes... I tested it first. Why cheat off of someone if the answers are wrong. Girly side note: the color combinations are so attractive. I hope this helps! ... show more

When I purchased my hard case for my MacBook Air (2017 model), I received a free keyboard skin. I hated it. It was rubbery feeling. I wanted to try another brand of skin. I'm also new to Macs, so when I found this one, I was very excited. It feels nice to the touch, fits perfectly, and the shortcuts will certainly come in handy. Purchased a Mac to add services for my editing and formatting clients. This keyboard skin is great for protecting my investment. I have already recommended this skin to others. I bought because I thought the short cuts would be handing, too small to really see that well to get to learn shortcuts for kids. Also, the colors hide the backlighting on the keyboard so if typing in low light it's hard to see the keys. That's all livable, but the worst part and needing me to replace it is the thickness of the plastic actually smudges up the screen after being closed. My screen became so dirty and I could actually see the letters from the keys wearing off on the screen. I have to get rid of it and just get plain clear. I absolutely love this! The keyboard shortcuts are useful and I'm learning new ones every time that I use my computer! I love the way it feels when I type, soft and smooth. When it arrived I was really worried that it would slide since it just lays gently on top of the keyboard and doesn't snap into place or anything but I was pleasantly surprised that it doesn't budge at all. An added benefit is that it muffles the clickety clack sound of my typing. I didn't even realize how loud the typing sounds are until I put this cover on and then took it off again and now I can't believe it wasn't bothering me. I do a lot of group video calls online and I can always hear other people typing loudly, which is very distracting, an this helps a ton! Just a word of warning, if you have poor eye sight you will have a hard time reading the fine print written on the keys for the shortcuts. ... show more

A nice cover! Helped me learn the shortcuts on a mac, as I have never used one. Also keeps dirt and crumbs out of your keys. The only down side to this cover, is that it blocks out some of the light from the Mac's keyboard. Also, if you use it in a very dark room, the letter face shines through the keys and makes the keyboard hard to read. ... show more
