I rarely leave reviews but for this product I will. Just assembling the product you can tell it’s cheap Chinese junk. The instructions are barely readable and written by someone without a grasp of the English language. I still haven’t learned to stop buying electrical products off Amazon as the quality over the years has gotten worse. The container was able to capture all the used oil out of my Freightliner. The oil was warm but when I went to switch on the pump barely any oil came through and the oil they did was just a trickle. I was worried about damaging the pump so I turned it off to let it cool down as it started smoking. I tried a few more times and the oil barely trickled out of the hose at all. Eventually the pump smoked so bad and just stopped working. I haven’t been able to get it to turn back on since. The oil weight was 15w40 which the pump should have been able since these were designed for heavy duty engines. Now I have a huge pan that I need to drain by hand. If you’re going to buy one of these take my advice and get a good quality one. Don’t buy this overpriced cheap garbage. You will regret it. Wish I could give it zero stars.

I'll talk about the good first it works as intended - catches a lot of oil - large drip area - and pumps oil well and fast. It has held up good for around a year now. The bad - installation is supprisingly annoying as mine came with no instructions and the wheels like to lock up when moving. I personally swapped to non-locking casters and that solved the problem. I also noted a leaking issue out of the stock drain port - adding some Teflon solved this drip. All and all this is a "meh" item - it serves its purpose and with a few dollars of upgrades does a really good job.

Within a week of fully using this drain pan the wheel has stripped the threads out of the plastic housing. Now it’s basically unusable. Waist of money for it being $150… save yourself the trouble and buy something metal!

Leaks! Plastic is thin and cracked shortly after purchase causing a massive leak. Pump is not at a low enough level. It leaves about 3 gallons of oil in the drain pan. JUNK! DO NOT BUY!

Very poor design. The universal wheels don’t rotate around due to hitting the pump and tub. Plus they cause the drain hose at bottom of the pump to drag the ground. Switched the wheels, still won’t rotate around the pump and makes tub level so issues with draining.

I would have given this pan a higher rating, but there is a serious fault which requires you to deal with BEFORE you catch any fluid. Specifically, the pass thru and pump input fittings leak right out of the box. Tightening and re-applying the provided sealing tape does not help. Not wanting to go thru the drama of sending this back for a steel unit, I used some leftover Permetex Ultra Black RTV to seal up the pass-thru and fitting to the pump. I let the RTV set up 48hrs and then filled the pan with 10gal of JetA for 2 days to test for leaks and it passed. The pan now has about 7gals of used oil for a week now with no leaks at all. Pros are the pan is light weight and easy to roll around and total height is about 7".
