Great product. No problems so far! I’m dropping hard wood logs into this device. Using a 4 lbs mini sledge. It splits them just as designed with ease. Some logs with knots may take a bit more effort but it splits no problem. I recommend mounting this to a scrap plank of lumber or plywood for more stability. Also if you have smaller kindling that you would like to split, you can use one blade off to the side instead of the two blade 4 way split. ... show more

I searched until I found one with a wider diameter (this one is ~10 inches); but it is actually a little too wide for most of my wook. It takes a bit of force but with my heavy sledge it works great. The only problem is needing to brace the bottom to keep it upright, but I solved that by simply putting some logs on the bottom legs. I definitely like it!     • Great design but screw mounts are too short
I love the design and after sharping it's blades it worked great. Except, the mount screws came loose no matter how it was mounted. I changed up screws to a full 1 inch length screw it holds great

    • Waste of time and money
Product failed to split even one log and the blade actually bent from the attempt. The screws sent failed to hold the device in place and I would be surprised if the welds (if you can call them that, as they look more like an apprentice’s first attempt at welding) held up for any extended period of time. Very disappointed with overall build quality even if it did work, I would probably return it before it broke. ... show more

    • Doesn't work as advertised
Bought this product to help split some logs from a tree I cut down in my yard. After many attempts, it simply didn't do the job. Even using a 10lb sledge hammer, the work just bounced and the wedge never made a satisfactory cut in. Will be returning this product.

It doesn't split wood. Now it's broke from trying to use a big sledge hammer (still didn't split the log). I should've read the reviews before I bought it...

Doesn't worth it. Not sharp enough, in the video it looks like a piece of cake, in reality, it doesn't even crack the log ...

    • Hot garbage
Broke the top ring off within 5 minutes of use due to a miss swing. Split about 5 logs and noticed severe damage to the "blade" a knot hit it and took a chunk out of it. Don't buy this hot piece of garbage.
