Purchased this to replace the manual pump ram on my Big Red 2-ton engine hoist. The original ram was over 15 years old and still worked fine, despite some pitting on the shaft, but I wanted to replace it before it became a problem and upgrade to an air-operated unit at the same time. This was by far the most affordable option I found, and with its much higher weight capacity, I felt confident it would easily handle anything I’d realistically use it for. Installation was straightforward and it mounted to the hoist using the existing brackets and hardware. The only minor issue is that the overall length of the ram is about an inch longer than the original 2-ton unit it replaced. Because of this, the ram bottoms out before the boom arm can fully fold down. For me, this isn’t a major concern and it doesn’t affect the hoist’s functionality at all. I’ll probably modify the lower bracket and weld in a slightly lower mounting point at some point to correct it. Even knowing this beforehand, I still would have purchased this ram without hesitation. ... show more

The hydraulic jack has worked perfectly and fit my need perfectly as well. I have only used it on the 500 pound setting on my hoist, but again, I see no reason, it shouldn’t do just as it has on higher settings.

Purchased 2 to replace jacks on my well used 2 ton cherry pickers. Fit on both cherry pickers from different manufacturers fine as the Chinese cherry pickers seem to be pretty universal (1 with folding legs and 1 with extending legs). Have tested each for proper function and leak down by lifting a 800 lb. 3-point blade for my tractor. No issues. Don't know how they'll hold up in the long run but at this point seem to be a good value. Handle is about 8 inches shorter than what came with the lifts and I prefer the extra length but they are long enough to get job done. I would say they are of average quality with adequate lift capacity. ... show more

Showed up with a little damage to the box thanks UPS ..... Installed on a Garvee 2 ton engine hoist bought from Amazon. The original jack was complete garbage. It broke first time using it. This Vevor one went in and worked perfectly got a Chevy 350 and a 700r4 connected together with no probems
