Had to deal with support at the start! The Heat Press came with everything except the rotation lock knob/screw. To make a long story short, they did send a knob from Chine DHL expedite. So tech support was a plus. We looked for the controller to have a side port for the heater connection. This, it turned out, was an upgrade so the manual didn't cover that except through an addendum sheet. Setup for heat was a bit different than the manual, though we were able to figure it out. The manual does not really discuss the pressure setup correctly. There is a small drawing that shows measuring the distance on a spring, which I will assume is the distance between the bolt head and the plate the head sits on. For anything except a T-Shirt this distance is 3/16". For a T-Shirt the distance is 3/8" - 1/2". Wellll. Turning the pressure adjust knob enough to get 3/8" does not give a lot of confidence in the structural integrity of the heat press. When the heat bed contacts the foam bed the rear arm leans backward structurally this does not feel right, nor is the heat bed contacting the foam bed evenly. This can be seen visually and at the springs. We have used it for sublimation of a wind spinner and some foam coasters. They both came out excellent. I adjusted the pressure so I couldn't pull paper out between the hotplate and the foam bed, this also showed the uneven pressure. Tried to measure the heat bed temperature, but it is covered by a fabric sheet that gave inconsistent readings though all were in the ballpark of the setting. This was bought because it was cheap and had all that was needed to do sublimation on various items. The manual is typical of cheap products from China, and the build is typical of cheap products from China. It does work, and I would have to say it works pretty well. Tech support does respond and support. The minus for ease to use is due to the manual. The manual should allow the end user to use the product completely. ... show more

So far so good! Not as easy to know press times like my heat press, but just like that you have to work with it a little bit to get the right temp. I love it though! Yes I do recommend 👌

    • Terrible - came damaged and threw sparks!!

First, the item arrived with the bottom corner all bent up. Looks like someone must have dropped it because the box was bent and the foam inside cracked. I could deal with that except the 2nd hat I practiced on got torched because of sparks!! Blew the braker on my outlet, so we thought maybe it was our outlet issue. Brought the machine to our first event this weekend at a big concert venue. After setting up, turned the machine on. First hat - SPARKS! Machine seemed to power itself down. Turned it on again, the numbers for the temp wouldn't show. Eventually it seemed to reset itself so we tried a different power source - used a surge protector. Nope - sparks again. My trucker hat looked like a burnt marshmallow. Obviously returning this item! Beware of electrical issues! ... show more

This has been a great hat press so far with a couple of minor things that could stand to be improved. Temperature is accurate although it starts with what I am guessing is the Chinese character for Fahrenheit when you power it on before showing the numbers. For a press in this price range the idea of a metal platen is great. I wish they had paid a little more attention to the machining of the platen though as the radiused edges are quite sharp and we've been fighting with marks left from that. If you look closely at the picture with the bill decoration you will see the crease at the back edge of the decoration. We couldn't go any lighter with pressure and still get a good application unfortunately. One thing we love this for is for collar tags and sleeve decorations on short sleeves. The curved platen and shape work great for those applications. Ours arrived with the box pretty banged up but the contents were relatively ok. One of the bolts in the mechanism was bent a little and scraped the side of the enclosure during operation but we were able to straighten it out enough that it is no longer hitting. If they would address the minor manufacturing issues and possibly have interchangeable lower platens this would be one outstanding machine. As it is now for the money it is still a darn good value and appears to be pretty solid. We run a half dozen ecommerce stores and go through a good amount of hats and so far this is doing a great job. ... show more
