Most of the assembly was fine, but two of the wheels will not go on. It is easy to tell that where they screw into is off center. I will have to file the sides a bit to get them to go on.     • Well built, but assembly has some nuances to be aware of
Item seems well built, a very minor dimple and a light surface scratch were on the lid, but I figured the first time we use it we'll get some minor usage marks, so no biggie there. Assembly: First you will need an 11/16 box wrench to install the casters. but a standard box wrench is too thick to install the casters all the way. Fortunatly I had an old bicycle repair kit with a very thin 11/16 otherwise you will need at least a 1/4 spacer to get tension on the nut. Second the Allen head screws do not fit any size metric or SAE and if you torque them too much the strip easily so take care and do not over-tighten. Once together though looks good. ... show more

    • Good ice chest, but was clearly used before
First the good. It's a good ice chest. Can hold a ton of beverages. Seems pretty sturdy when assembled. Bottle opener is good. Wheels are decent. Lid is good. Drainage port is useful. I've used it about 3 times and I have no complaints about it. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because when it arrived there were dings on the outside, and the inside was scratched up. Clearly it had been used before. If I was buying this as a gift for someone else, I would have returned it. However, this is all cosmetic damage, as the first time you use a cooler it's going to get scratched up on the inside. The other issue is the lid doesn't completely seal, so there's some gaps in the middle where the hinge is. This means the cold escapes much faster than a traditional ice chest cooler, and the ice melts quickly. For the typical party, the ice lasts long enough, but by the end, your drinks will be partly submerged. It's not a big deal, as the drinks will still be cold, but it's something to keep in mind. Also, it would have been nice if the legs could be removed, so you could stick the chest in your trunk and drive it when full, but the legs are not easy to remove, especially if there's stuff in the chest, so you'd have to transport it on it's side unless you have a truck. It's not a huge deal, because it doesn't seem like any of the chests like this have removable legs, but it's something to keep in mind. As long as you're comfortable with these limitations, I think you'll enjoy this chest. I have no regrets about purchasing it. ... show more
