  • Gets the job done, some assembly required
Style: 25 Gallon
This is what I expect from a vevor tool: cheap, a little rough around the edges, but good enough to meet my needs. Other reviewers say it is difficult to assemble, that screw holes don’t line up and the directions are unclear. They are correct. When the metal frame was welded together, it was allowed to warp, so none of the pieces are perfectly flat or aligned. I had to use tapered punches and a rawhide mallet to get everything to line up for the screws. Once I got everything aligned, however, it all went together just fine. So be patient, take your time, and it’ll work. The directions are opaque at a few points as well, but you can figure it out if you take your time and make educated guesses. Once you get it together, you’ll find it works well. I had to purchase a quick connect attachment to plug in my air hose, but it screwed into the fittings that came with the machine well enough to have no leaks. The gloves are better than the gloves on other budget-level sandblasters I’ve used. I’m running the system from a 5scfm portable compressor, and it’s adequate to keep the blaster running. One of the reasons I chose this cabinet over some of the other cheap models is that it claimed to have lower scfm requirements, and that appears to be the case. I’ve used it to clean scale off steel forgings. It does this very effectively with some 80 grit glass bead media I picked up at Harbor Freight. This blaster is worth the price, and I would buy it again if my shop got robbed. ... show more

  • Sand blaster box
Style: 25 Gallon
Works well, manual sucks, i put clear caulking on every panel before screwing together, and because of this no dust leaking, takes a while to construct but works well when put togethet.

  • Good but not "plug and play" to be happy.
Style: 40 Gallon
Plan to spend a day assembling this cabinet and you will need additional "add-on" items to be happy with it. All blast cabinets should be used with a vacuum dust extraction system. The cabinet has ports for air intake and exhaust but no vacuum adapter. I had to 3d print an adapter (see picture - I have no idea where you could even buy one) and then I use a Dustopper (look it up here on Amazon) with a shop vac. Don't forget, you need dry air too! I have a much bigger cabinet for bigger items, but this is nice for smaller items with specialty media. I use it with plastic media and glass beads. The media suction tube works, but it is a pain and if you use this cabinet much, you will be looking to upgrade it before long. I am constantly lifting the cabinet on the sides to get the media to fall to the center where it can be picked up by the tube. This is incredibly annoying, but doable for small projects. ... show more

  • Poor quality but it gets the job done
Style: 25 Gallon
If you are looking for a quality product look elsewhere as the build quality for this cabinet is impressively bad, but if your looking for a VERY cheap tool that will get the job done this is for you. That being said with this price point i knew what i was getting myself into. Getting into the impressively bad build quality out of the box i experienced the following Large scratches and dents Misaligned bolt holes corner brackets that dont fit gaps i could stick a pencil through a cut in the power cord for the light that nearly severed the wires. I mean this thing is bad that was a list of just the manufacturing defects, that doesnt include and issues with the engineering and part quality. Issues with part quality and engineering: Seals- the seal around the lid and the air filter do next to nothing, whenever spraying a cloud of dust just blows right out of them making a huge dust cloud, a respirator and a vacuum system with a dust cyclone are 100% necessary. Air Filter- this comes with an air filter for the exhaust port and it clogged after about an hours use, the air filter is necessary to relieve the pressure inside the cabinet from the air compressor, what ends up happening is it gets clogged then with nowhere else to go the air and dust leaks out the poor seals on the lid. Mods ill get into soon are necessary to fix this issue. Air hose- the air hose that connects the blaster to the air fitting is very poor quality. it is thin and very stiff. Mods and Necessary equipment: First off ill say you need a large capacity air compressor, at least 11cfm. I have a 60 gallon compressor with 11cfm and it works well for small parts but continuous spraying uses more air than my compressor can make. if you have a small compressor dont even bother trying with it. PPE: a respirator is 100% needed as you will destroy your lungs breathing the dust this thing puts out. Vacuum: you will need a vac system with a dust cyclone to separate out the media. you will also need to make a connector for the vac to replace the air filter. The dust cyclone is needed to seperate the media before it gets into your vacuum as the small abrasive dust will cause significant wear. Lights: The light that it comes with is nice but adding some led strip lights wired into the switch makes a world of a difference. a few other side notes as im getting tired of typing: its packaged well assembly was a pain due to the mis aligned holes, i had to drill a few out and use clamps and cross thread bolts to get the brackets in. total time took me about 2 hours. it does come with a gasket material to seal all the gaps and this thing does have gaps. That all being said this thing gets the job done, it is far from quality, id even take a harbor freight brand over this one but its cheap and it works, with this price point i cant dock them for the quality as your not paying for it. ... show more
