The one thing I don't like is the rate of travel is very fast, but that's just a personal thing. I like a slow travel, I just feel I have more control. But, I'll get comfortable with it. Fairly solid hoist but cable seems undersized for the load rating and the hoist does not retract evenly so it tends to overwrap and potentially tangle / abrade on lift. Instructions are fair - the mount for the control box is never mentioned. Noise level is ok but the noise from the cable overwrapping is concerning. Highly recommend putting weight on the cable during retraction. Don’t let the cable go totally slack while extended or it may pull back and overwrap on the motor reel. Wireless control works well. Fit on a standard jib crane arm without issue. Heavy motor and assembly ( ~35lbs). Tends to twist when raising.

Great hoist. Originally bought the 440LB hoist for an attic elevator project, it worked but struggled and sounded horrible under load. For $40 more i replaced it with this and it’s been great. Wireless remote is the way to go!

So my first one didn’t work out of box. So watch out for return problems. They are heavy. Second one woks great. Seems like motor is heavy duty, relays are heavy duty, remote is very nice. Plastic parts are low quality (control box, covers, etc). Price is right, longevity is yet to be seen.
