This book is amazing! It’s a giant summary of everything we learned in school, it’s a great refresher to have during work! I love just even reading through it to test myself or remember stuff! Definitely recommend if you’re a registered or certified vet tech that needs something quick to reference!

I work at an emergency vet hospital where I am on-the-job trained, this book has been invaluable in teaching about a wide variety of topics from the massive variety of parasite prevention, to etymology of words (v. useful if you want to understand some of the medical jargon used during rounds), to what ear cleaners are used and why, to surgical instruments and types of suture. My few issues are: some of the pictures used are very low quality/resolution, which stands out next to the clean text, and there are definitely some spelling and other odd errors which are out of place. Overall, while you will not get the in-depth quality or variety of pictures you would get from more standard medical textbooks, it's size and cost means it's a great tool to have both daily and for situations that are more infrequent - especially if you have not had any formal veterinary education. ... show more
