    • Not for people struggling with math
This book is definitely helpful but sucks at explaining how it got to certain answers on several occasions. I find that the math problems and even electrical math problems are definitely challenging which is a good thing BUT! They fail to explain how they got to each step. They assume you have a strong understanding of math which is stupid in my opinion. They skip over keep steps and the details of those steps leaving a person lost as to who they got to the answer. There alot of time where I'm reading and although I "know" how they got there it was only because teachers have taught me the tricks and steps to get there but it's not an obvious thing to figure out. I can imagine it could be quite frustrating for someone struggling with the math portion. Im definitely using the book but I hate the process and lack of care they seem to put when explaining things. It's very much a brief overview of things and it no way comprehensive either. So if you need to hone in on specific things you'll have to end up googling your way of finding those things out unfortunately. I would only get this book if you just need a quick brush up or if your the kid who always got food grades without trying. ... show more

I’m studying to take my asvab at the end of this month. I just received the book and started using it for the math and arithmetic section and it’s very helpful so far. I wish the flash cards came already separated but other than that I like it. I haven’t used the online portion yet but I plan too

Even if you feel fairly confident, I would recommend purchasing this. It’s not expensive, and it helps a lot. It breaks down everything into each of the sections you will be tested on and also gives online access to their system and shows your videos of how exactly to do things. Explains everything great and the book has lots of small things that you might not remember. Helped me score much higher than I thought I would. ... show more
