This bag...WOW! I love it. I've never been a big Vera Bradley fan (it's just not my style), but this bag is already changing that. I ordered this bag as a gift for my mother, and now that I have seen and felt it, I know she'll love it...and I also know that I will probably order another one for myself! LOL The outer part is quilted, and it somehow has a cozy quality to it, especially in this terracotta color. It evokes the comfort of a warm sweater on a chilly autumn weekend. Even my husband immediately said "Oh, that looks comfy!" when he saw it. But the awesomeness of this bag goes beyond its great looks. It feels good, too. The weight of it is just right--lightweight enough to carry comfortably, but heavy enough to feel durable. The quality is impeccable. It has a double zipper on top, over the length of the bag, as well as one zippered pocket on the outside and another inside. There is also a simple slip pocket on the front of the bag and a trolley sleeve to slide over the handle of your carry-on bag. Inside you'll find a three-segmented pouch to hold accessories or toiletries, perhaps. The spacious interior is large enough for a couple of outfits, a pair of shoes, my laptop, and a couple of chargers, and it has a cute damask lining that is just another delightful feature hidden in this bag. And speaking of delightful features, my favorite is probably the 100% recycled nylon outer material. I don't know how they've made nylon feel so soft, but this bag is, and it's water-repellent, too. On the whole, I think my husband is right. I've never said this about a bag before, but this Vera Bradley weekender really IS comfy and cozy, and it's just perfect for the coming fall months. I'd even go so far as to call it the PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) of bags, and I am more than happy to recommend it! ... show more

While I’m still trying to decide if I like the quilted, polyester outer, this is a nice bag. If I had it to do over again, I’d have gone with black over orange, but it’s still a nice color. The inner lining is pretty and high quality. It has lots of pockets for storing a variety of things. It has two handles and also a detachable shoulder strap. It’s perfect for a weekend getaway, although I’m not sure I’d take it on a plane. It’s not a bag you would check, and I’m not sure it would fit under the seat. However, it would fit in the overhead bin, although if it was full, it wouldn’t on the smaller planes. ... show more
