I really like this bag. Have been a fan of Vera Bradley products for a while...I think the patterns and designs are really cheerful and bright. This purple plaid bag is no exception. Aside from the looks, I like the size and layout of this bag a lot. The bag is actually slightly larger than I was expecting; not quite as big as a full-size backpack, more like 1/2 or 1/3 of the size. While the main compartment is quite spacious and useful, the pockets are too small to put much in. Love that this bag is washable and easy to care for. All in all, pretty pleased with this and will continue to use!

This is a great little backpack and the plaid pattern and soft colors are pretty and look perfect for spring. I have several types of bags from this brand and I really like the quality and attention to detail in the construction. The color palette includes navy blue, with shades of pink, peach, light blue and yellow so this would be cute for a young girl to use but as a grandmother, I wouldn't feel out of place carrying it, either. The product description states that this is a mini totepack/backpack, apparently because it has handles so it can be carried as a small tote or worn on one or both shoulders. I like the versatility. It is indeed small, but not teeny-tiny. I would say it has roughly the same capacity as many of my handbags. I can easily fit everything I need for a day trip (now that I don't have small children that I need to pack for, anyway). Just to give an idea of what it can hold, I packed it for an afternoon at the dog park: my full-sized wallet, glasses and sunglasses (each in a hard case), a small cosmetic bag, a pack of puppy wipes and a small pack of dog snacks + a book. The bag is very well constructed. The exterior is made of high quality cotton fabric that is lightly padded expertly quilted in a small diamond pattern. The zippered pocket on the front is generously sized and expands on one side to make it easy to access the contents -- it is perfect for my small phone and keys. The carrying straps are securely stitched to the bag; they are lightly padded and comfortable to hold and there is a snap to hold them together if desired. The shoulder straps are similarly well anchored and are also lightly padded. I actually do think they could do with a bit more padding. They are made of the cotton fabric + a sturdy cotton webbing in navy blue with a plastic slider buckle for adjusting the length. There is a small zippered pocket with vertical access on the back of the bag. The two-way zipper for the main compartment wraps almost all the way around three sides of the bag, making it easy to pack, unpack or clean. The zipper is a top-quality YKK brand and both zipper heads have a fabric pull tab (so do the zippers for the pockets). The main compartment is roomy and the back is thickly padded for comfort. There is a medium-sized zippered pocket inside + two slip pockets (one is tall and narrow, so it would great for pens or pencils and such but one can't really reach down into it; the other is wider, and one can reach into it so it is nice for a small notepad or perhaps a phone. The fabric lining the interior is a charming floral print in navy blue, purple and shades of green + a little yellow. The bag is light-weight but sturdy and I think it will hold up well. It looks great and I'm sure I will use it a lot this spring and summer. I like that this bag is so easy to care for -- a little bit of dirt won't show and I can just put it in the washer when needed and + hang it up to dry. The current price of $80.00 is a bit hard to take but my other Vera Bradley bags gotten a lot of use over the years and still look new.

It is the perfect size for a college student, small but with roomy and well placed pockets. The straps are comfy and functional. This is a pretty little backpack, and I love that it's washable. The pockets aren't great for fitting things like my phone, but it's more of a purse-type backpack to me (I like to wear it when shopping because I can skip a bag most of the time) than something I would use for carrying things to work/school. The color is pretty, as well, and I've machine washed it on cold/delicate already and it came out great. It's a cute accessory, if not the most practical backpack I have.
