Great bag. At the end it's a cosmetic bag that is well made and has a nice liner. The color is true to form and as it turns out it washes well if you have a spill. I'm not sure what makes this Vera Bradley quality but I do like the bag.

1) It's NOT the same color as the one on Amazon. It's almost a dark grayish deep dark lilac color. 2) It's lined inside with a plastic type of material. NO colorful fabric lining. 3) NO inside pockets. 4) One pocket on the outside front. 5) Overall, it's okay. But, I'm very disappointed with the color. I thought it would be a beautiful lilac, and it is NOT. 6) It's a large generous size makeup bag.

This navy makeup bag is high quality and beautiful. It’s quite large - there is plenty of room for makeup. Even the pull on the end of the zipper is matching fabric (not just a cheap ribbon). There is one large zippered compartment and one external side pocket (no zipper) which I tried to show in my 3rd photo. There are no interior pockets/slots. The large main zippered compartment is lined with a thin plastic material which will be easy to wipe down to keep clean. However, the plastic lining feels quite thin so I am hoping it will be durable enough. The big beautiful bag seems like a 5-star, but because of the yet-to-be-determined durability of the thin lining and the expensive price tag (because it’s Vera Bradley), I’m giving it 4 stars.

This is just what I hoped and expected: a generously sized cosmetic bag in a lovely print. One nice feature that I think isn't shown or described is the flat zippered exterior pocket (in addition to the main compartment) that runs the length of one side. The large size is great if you need to accommodate full-size brushes or containers of products like mousse or hairspray. Both the main compartment and the flat pocket are lined in the same light gray (for the Wing + Bloom) nylon; the feel is slightly plastic-y, but it does seem practical to wipe clean. The exterior fabric is the Vera Bradley washable cotton BUT the care instructions (here and the brand website) say to spot wash rather than machine wash. That's really my only disappointment, as I've really appreciated machine washable Vera Bradley bags and it would be nice to be able to fully wash a cosmetic bag in case of a messy spill. However, I'm not docking a star since that's in the product description. Personally, I would probably eventually risk a gentle wash if/when it gets messy enough, but I do wish it were designed to be more than spot washable. The Wing + Bloom print is lovely! As it's a little hard to tell in pictures, the background is a light gray, which is so close to white it could come across as slightly dingy. Otherwise, I love it. I like the line drawings with the pops of color.
