I'm ready for getting into healthier eating/juicing habits. I'm tired of refined, processed foods, where I eat them primarily to put some bad calories into my body in quick and convenient ways. I've been reluctant to buy a juicer because the last one I had was a cheap, centrifugal unit I admittedly bought twenty years ago. I think I used it once. Happily, however, the technology is here now to provide a streamlined, clean, juicer that I believe will set the bar to a new level. The Ventray Cold Press Juicer is amazing. Like everybody else, I did my fair share of research; I am meticulous that way now. After reading a million or so reviews and watching as many videos, I became pretty jaded, thinking I had basically two choices: either spend a LOT of money on a quality juicer, or stay within an affordable range and get a sub-quality unit I'd be sort of happy with. In watching video reviews, it's gets depressing to see a "best-selling" juicer in my price range sit there and rock and squeak and struggle to get a dribble of juice out. I then found the Ventray, and I kept going back to it time after time. I bought it finally and am really glad I did. I know I'm sounding like a salesman here, but this is really just true enthusiasm. I love this juicer and am 100% happy with it so far. In the past five days, I have used it four times to crank out five or six quarts of juices. I have juiced apples, celery, kale, spinach, ginger, oranges, lemons, pears, carrots, cucumbers, and red cabbage. Everything went in easily and came out perfectly for me. Very little pulp, minimal to moderate foam, and NO "strings" from the greens btw. The wonderful part is you can refrigerate the juice in jars for consumption the next day, and it doesn't degrade at all in taste. Nor does it separate. It also makes juice quickly for it being a slow-juicer. For example, I can make a quart of Joe Cross's lean mean green juice in under five minutes. And I actually used carrot pulp to add to some black-bean burgers I made last night. They were awesome. I was really surprised with how small the footprint of this unit is. It would fit nicely on a countertop, although it is a little tall since it is a vertical machine and may not fit under some cabinets. So far I've left mine out on the kitchen island so I can admire it when not in use; I know...I need to get out more. Really really easy to clean. As I dismantle it, I rinse each piece and toss it in dishwater for a quick wash. It really couldn't be simpler. And for the very best part: the quality of the build. It's heavy. It doesn't vibrate or wobble, or rock when juicing- even hard vegetables like carrots. Each part is made of heavy-duty material, it all fits together perfectly, and feels like it's meant to last a long time. I'm anxious to share the juice with friends, but so far my partner and I have drank it all up (mostly me truth be known). I'm currently fighting off the urge to head to the fridge for more as I write. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to a friend, despite the fact that I've had it for less than a week. This juicer is amazing. I recommended it already to a friend. I chopped my veggies, such as celery to prevent clogging, I also chop hard stuff like carrots cos I want it to last for a long time. It doesn't bother me doing a little extra work. It does an amazing job though even for leafy veggies. I do the soft stuff first. I love this thing ❤️... We bought this because our other juicer produced mostly foam. The "juice" that came out of this one was more like thin applesauce, and we had to strain it through cheesecloth to make it drinkable. We had to stop to clean it every few minutes, and though once strained, the juice was very good, it isn't worth the time and work to make a small amount of juice. I’ve been juicing for years. My juicer’s do not last long I juice, tons of ginger and carrots without chopping them and my juicers have short lifespans of under two years. This juicer is my fifth one and by far the very best. Prior to this one I had a less expensive Ventray juicer, which I was extremely happy with. I decided to buy another Ventray but a much more expensive one. The money was well spent this is a great juicer. I can’t believe how much more juice I’m getting from my blueberry, blackberry strawberry juice. The volume of juice I’m getting is so much more than all my previous juicers. ... show more

It is fairly quiet. Easier to clean then my previous. I get way more juice than before as well. I will sat that it doesn't like celery very much. The fibers clog the machine. Pulp very dry but they could mkae the pulp exit slot bigger. Also, deseed cucumbers the get stuck in the bowl. Can't wait to try making almond milk 😊. ... show more

12/10/2021: We juiced fruits and vegetables like apples, oranges, carrots, pineapple chunks, celery. We avoided things that can get clogged or break the machine like beets and nuts, and yet the machine stopped working properly right outside the return window. Used may be 10 times or less in that period. It juiced well while it worked. Let's see how will the seller handle our case. Will update the review based on the customer service we get. Update 05/09/2023: Update is long overdue. First of all the seller provided with a replacement and we have been satisfied with the juicer. After one year of use it is still going. We juice about 4 liters worth every other week. Only thing we don’t like it that closing and opening the top shoot takes some muscle. It is very tight. I just got the juicer and have only made carrot and apple juice, but I am very pleased so far. I like the compact design (though it is quite tall), it is easy to clean, and makes perfect juice. The juice is a little on the pulpy side, which I like, but would just need a little strain for those who prefer no pulp - but even my no-pulp kids loved the apple juice. The parts are a bit difficult to line up and snap into place, but not too bad. It’s not loud and feels safe enough for my 4 yo to help me. I’m especially excited to make almond milk! ... show more
