Pay attention to your duvet insert size. I didn’t the first time and bought a slightly smaller cover, making the insert bumpy inside and causing me to buy this cover instead. This 106x90 duvet cover fits my inserts beautifully, and the eight ties allow my insert to stay in place. I was concerned about the linen texture being scratchy, but I find it quite soft. I washed and dried it before using, and found that if it was taken immediately out of the drier (after being dried on low heat), and laid flat on the bed, there were less wrinkles found on the spread than I was expecting. Viewing it from the doorway, it looks relatively wrinkle free. Up close and personal, you’ll find wrinkling. Inserting it was easy enough, and the zipper works great. The flap to cover the zipper does get wrinkled in the wash and cause the zipper to show. I’m sure it could be ironed down if you’re anal about things like that, but it’s not worth the extra effort for me at the moment. I’m satisfied with the purchase and would recommend. ... show more

Photo shows duvet and shams folded fresh out of its 1st wash. Great set for the money! As to softness, think $20 madrass shirt or decent cotton napkins or tablecloth. I would not recommend drying on high heat or over drying- this is cotton that will likely shrink. Wrinkles are as you see. Items were folded warm from dryer. Some edges want to permanently wrinkle unless ironed or straightened by hand while hot and folded to keep shape while warm. Overall. I received what I expected. ... show more
