  • Very portable that you can take it anywhere: It comes with neck strap that allow you to wear it around neck when you are busy on the kayak. It also comes with a water resistant bag to protect your fish finder display from water splash. You can easily store the fish finder in your tackle box. The fishfinder is powered by 4 AAA batteries. It lasts 4-5 hours with new batteries in continuous use. It can be used in fresh water as well as salt/sea water.
  • Accurate Depth Reading: The fish finder use sonar to detect water depth and fish location. Sonar Frequency is 200 kHZ. Detectable area is 45 degrees beam angle under the sonar transducer. Detectable depth range is from 3ft/1m to 328ft/100m below the sonar transducer.

Product arrived sooner than expected! It was exactly as advertised, and was easy to set up and use. Was able to see the fish icons, when fish detected, and alarm sounded as well! To others looking at this product, it does not show actual bottom contour. It shows representation of plants, or sizes of rocks if detected. It has an icon on right bottom that changes size of rock, giving info of smooth or rough bottom surface. Also plant representations changes size as well, if detected. This is a nice little portable unit that is easy to use. I've been out with it on my kayak several times in murkier waters, at several different depths. It alerts me when there are fish around, I can say that for sure. Unfortunately, I'm just learning to fish for bass, and I haven't caught anything yet. But that's more likely me than the fish finder. Got quite a few bites with it when fishing for trout. Still, it just goes to remind me that even if you know where the fish are, you may not catch any. ... show more

The accuracy seems fairly good but the "launching" of the transducer is a pain. Portability/size is nice. I use as a back up to an older, more expensive finder that clamps to small fishing boat.
