The frame and door was sturdy. I used construction adhesive to secure to the dry wall. I used this to replace a cable access box that was only as big as a double outlet. Increase the hole size to the frame dimensions and it fit perfectly. Creates a clean look in the garage wall and allows for better access of the cable coax and fiber optic lines.

This was the exact size I needed, and was a very difficult size 10“ x 14“ to find. My only complaint is I wish they put standard flat screwdriver style locks on the door. I didn’t need a key lock in fact the bulge of the key lock was unacceptable for my application. And being the application is in a ceiling I don’t trust the simple little pressure spring lock so I am going to customize the door myself with some form of screw lock. But as stated the door is very nicely constructed solid and a great paint finish on it.

I really like how straightforward it is to use this as a template for creating an access hole for a wall cavity. It then easily covers this hole while providing a door, with a latch, for any future access needs. The metal device is quite sturdy and has effective hinges.
