This greenhouse was pretty easy to assemble, could have been done alone if need be, though having a hand with a few areas was definitely favorable. It took 2 Saturdays, about 5 hours the first one and another 2 the second one. Granted the actual assembly time was probably only about 3.5 hours. Leveling the area and laying out the cinderblocks was by far the most time consuming part of the whole thing. A few spots where we had to bend the metal to fit the panels in correctly, annoying but not bad, and appeared to be from the metal shifting in shipping more than anything. Also a couple spots where getting everything lined up to get the screws in was a pain but a few shifts get it all together. There’s plastic protectors on both sides of the panels, didn’t notice until we had a couple of them installed but oh well. All the necessary tools are provided (Allen wrench/Phillips head screw driver, a dainty wrench and a drill bit sized just right. Obviously they didn’t provide the drill, just the bit, but it was enough and just the right size. We’ve also got a fair amount of hardware left over. ... show more

    • Overall a good product.
Knowing what I know now that it's assembled, I would buy it again. The construction is good and fairly sturdy. Assembly was fairly easy aside from a few issues. There are a couple sections that are held together via a piece that slides into each section and is then bolted. The pieces that slide in are too tight and one required me using a small sledge hammer for about 20 minutes. That being said, with the many many parts that need to work together, there weren't any other issues (aside from me not taking my time and properly following directions occasionally). It is worth noting (and it IS in the instructions) that there is a plastic film on BOTH sides of every window (one film is clear so it's not obvious) and it should be removed before assembly. As far as the finished product I have a few small issues. First the two vents have no way of being closed securely, therefore leaving a gap for air to escape. I tied some rope for now to pull down on them. When you open the door and go inside there is no way to secure the door from the inside. This can be fixed with various methods, I intend on using a small bungee. When you receive your package be sure to check for any damage. Several of my pieces had small bend that I was able to straighten and there were also some light scratches. Customer service was very responsive and helpful with this situation. Knowing what I know now I would still purchase this item. Please bear in mind the cost vs quality, it is a good deal for what you get. For me it was a step up from the flimsy arch style greenhouse with the thin tarp-like cover you pull over the frame. ... show more

    • Crucial defects and bad instructions.
Don’t buy this particular greenhouse. This VEIKOU greenhouse has multiple unacceptable flaws that cannot be overlooked. I recommend no one buy this greenhouse because it likely has a defect that could cause you to break it. The defects should be caught by quality control and the product needs to redesign its instructions. Upon opening the name greenhouse I noticed that some of the aluminum frame parts were bent around the ends. I’m not sure if they were packaged like that but I thought it wouldn’t be a problem for building it, just that it didn’t look good. The package included cardboard corners to protect the aluminum in shipping but they either didn’t work or the aluminum pieces were like that when they were packaged. The greenhouse is held together with a bunch of bolts that screw into threaded bolt holes that are inlaid in the aluminum. The bolts you’re supposed to use are all the same hex key. The hex key they give you sucks because it includes a Philips head screwdriver on the long side so you won’t be able to get it into all the tight places it needs to go very easily. I Was able to build the bottom and first wall easily enough but I encountered the first defect on the second wall. The area I was working on was the left corner of the door where one of the inlaid bolt holes was spinning freely in the aluminum. It wasn’t falling out just the threads were spinning around. I tried to push the other piece of aluminum onto the bolt hole and hold it still but it didn’t work. I used too much force pushing the hex key into the bolt and it cross-threaded the cheap components. I backed the bolt out and knew what happened. I hadn’t gone that deep so switched to another bolt and thought of using plastic wrap to hold down the bolt with the aluminum. I used some plastic protective wrap from the polycarbonate to hold down the spinning bolt while I screwed it in. I stuffed the plastic warp in between the aluminum pieces around the spinning bolt. It worked but that bolt hole should have been taken care of by quality control. The bolt held but it didn’t hold as well as it should have. Only a little farther into the project, I realized that I had put one of the walls together in the wrong way. The 4 roof corner pieces need to be oriented in a specific way. The instructions don’t show this in any detail they just show them being put on from far away where the orientation of the parts is not seen. One of the sides was orientated correctly but the other wasn’t and it was the one with the cross-threaded bolt. I had to take that all apart and remake it using plastic wrap again to get that one bolt in. I was able to build the greenhouse easily enough from there until the very end were the instructions said to screw in the door handle. The instructions were acting like there were holes to screw the handle in but there were just 6 dimples where the screws needed to go. I thought this was wrong but decided to follow the instructions anyway because even though the green came with a drill bit it was used for drilling into a different part of the greenhouse and was too big for the screw holes. When I screwed in the small screw, predictably, it broke off at the head. I know better than to try and drill in the other ones. So I ended up having to use one of my own drill bits to drill out the remaining 5 holes. And would you know what they worked like they should have been there in the first place? This may have been a defect where the holes were supposed to be there or this could be part of the genus design of the instructions. I don’t know how this greenhouse doesn’t have a ton of negative reviews. The defects mine had should have been caught in quality control. The instructions also are confusing and need to be remade. Don’t waste your money on this particular greenhouse unless you want to be always trying to get parts from the manufacturer. I’m returning mine after having all these problems and have wasted time and money on this. I am going to lose the money I paid for shipping and I feel sorry for the seller who is probably also going to lose money as well. The manufacturer of these greenhouses needs to improve their product if they are to hope to ever sell another greenhouse again. ... show more

    • Bent and scattered
The media could not be loaded. This ridge holds the windows and all the top of the greenhouse so fortunately my husband is very handy and had to bend these places back into place. Also the screws were scattered throughout the box. We did find them all it was just very frustrating. We did get the green house together and I think we will enjoy it. Time will tell ... show more

    • GREAT VALUE for the money
I never write reviews but this greenhouse deserves it. It was between this or a harbor freight greenhouse and im very glad i went with this for the value vs size. i figured id write this review because there are so many bad reviews of other similar greenhouses and i just wanted to let everyone know it took 1/2 day to build with 1 person. you dont need 2 people if its not windy. i anchored mine to a wooden base that was steaked into the ground 3ft with rebar and also ancored it to custom shelves about 4 ft up the sides and it is very sturdy! it got up to 110 on a 70 degree day! The ONLY issue i had was i forgot to instal the top vents before i finished the top rail. you cannot instal them after unless you bend open the grove they slide into. dont be afraid to try this one. its way more pleasing to the eye then the ugly silver ones everyone else gets. ... show more
