I expect I'll get at least a decade out of this shed, which is plenty reasonable for the price. That said, I did some extra things to maximize its lifespan. First, I affixed it to a sturdy foundation-- upcycled railroad ties joined by angle brackets; also used those for the floor joists, spaced 22" apart. Second, I used nice, 1/2" plywood for the floor (the kit does not come with flooring), which I fastened to the foundation and joists with 3" torque screws & washers, which reminds me: use a power drill. Don't bother with the included tools. They're junk. Assembly of the shed itself was a bit of a pain. Occasionally, the pre-drilled holes on adjoining parts wouldn't line up, only half the fasteners required for assembly were provided, and there were a few steps in the instructions that must not have been updated with the addition of new parts, leaving my helper & I to improvise (yes, you will need two people, at least one of whom has built stuff before, to assemble this). I was able to match the fasteners I was shorted with affordable, satisfactory aftermarket alternatives, but it still made for an extra trip. All these challenges made assembling the shed a 6 hour ordeal--twice as long as the manufacturer's estimate. Also, despite being "thicker" metal sheeting, relative to competitors, it still feels kind of flimsy. I don't recommend leaning heavy items against the siding or climbing on the roof. It also bears noting that, being a metal shed, this sucker gets hot on sunny days. I might remediate this later with a less conductive roof material & insulation, but it's not a priority at the moment, being just for basic storage. In short, if you have some building experience, extra materials, and a willing friend who's also handy, this shed is absolutely worth the price. ... show more

After buying this product was given 1 tracking number threw amazon. But there were 2 different packages with different tracking numbers that arrive on multiple days. Product was received with a few dents. Shipping was very expensive for the amount of time it took to get there. It will take 2 people minimum to assemble. Instruction are not that easy to understand at times. The latches don't line up very well making it difficult to latch shut. ... show more

Oh, I love the price of this product but you get what you pay for. When it was unboxed, you could tell that it was already dented and scratched in transit… on the four corners. We had already unboxed a good amount of it, so we figured there’s no point in sending it back or trying to fit it back in the box. The holes and the screws are poorly fabricated(not magnetic), matching very little, and the shed even blew over from wind the first day, ripping the sheet metal screws off at the bottom…Expect there to be absolutely no wind when you get this done. Bought new screws for certain connections… Try to do it in one day. It is crazy how many parts and screws come with it. I consider myself very handy, but this was very challenging and frustrating because it wasn’t stable until the roof was on. In fact, the roof was the only part of the entire process where the screws and the holes lined up properly. The door functions very poorly, and the sharp metal can cut your hands if you’re not careful. There is plastic film over every single piece of metal, which makes it infuriating to unpackage. Some of the pieces I couldn’t even get the plastic off of because it was so thin. It stores a surprising amount of stuff in it. Again you get what you pay for! Looks okay, functions okay. Might last 5 years if we’re lucky. Good luck if you buy it. ... show more

You definitely need two people to put the sheds together. It took two days to build a wooden foundation for the 10x12 syed to sit on. A day and a half to put it assemble it. The instructions would of been better with clearer pictures or written descriptions. Overall the shed met my needs.

I am very happy with my purchase. This greenhouse is the right size for my gardening needs. I think it is very reasonably priced considering the materials - metal poles, thick plastic joints, and a heavy duty cover. Despite the visual complexity of the assembly diagram, which made me go cross eyed more than once, this little greenhouse was quite easy and relatively quick to assemble. I read some of the reviews prior to purchasing, and all those who said start with the roof and the four corners, were spot on. Like a jigsaw, starting with the edges and working inwards, the greenhouse frame came together. I recommend sorting the bag of joints into piles of like-joints prior to starting the assembly. The poles sizes relative to the frame, I thought were self-evident. All the poles fitted snugly into the joints and stayed in place, even while I positioned and re-positioned the greenhouse into the spot I wanted it in my backyard. Sure, maybe down the road a little gorilla glue to hold poles in joints may come in handy, but for now the frame is not popping as some reviewers commented. I had my teenage son help me carefully lift and position the greenhouse cover over the top of the greenhouse frame. Pre-identification of where the roof peaks were located, we held the peaks and slowly lowered the cover. Two step stools either end to stand on came in handy. I then loose tied the cover to the frame and placed the shelves. The shelves can shift, so I think I will secure the shelves to the frame with zip ties. At this time I have chosen not to utilize the guide ropes/anchors, as the location of my greenhouse is well sheltered from the wind, and the weight of my potted plants on the shelves holds the greenhouse in place. I like that the greenhouse has a zipped door which rolls up and ties in place, as well as two ventilated windows on both sides which fasten in place with Velcro or can be rolled up and tied off. ... show more
