The media could not be loaded. The concept and design of these linkable, touch-sensitive, hexagon-shaped LED modules is very innovative and makes for a terrific assembly and operating experience. I just wish the manufacturer had put a little more energy into a few of the features. Here are the issues I observed: > The plastic pieces used to interconnect multiple modules both mechanically and electrically are weak and need to be inserted/removed carefully or they will break. Even when I delicately removed a couple of the 3-pin mechanical connectors, one of the short plastic pins snapped off. I had to drill out the broken piece and use another connector. If these were made of a stronger material this would not be a problem. > Signal reception from the remote is intermittent: most of the time a button has to be pushed multiple times to propagate the desired command to all modules. The reception range of the LED modules is too narrow and the problem seems to mostly affect modules surrounded by other modules. > A combination of button pushes on the remote and pressing the center of individual modules allows the user to create a variety of color patterns -- but for some reason certain colors available via the remote cannot be accessed when touching the modules to change colors. Brightness can be controlled only by the remote, and dimming or brightening the entire set at once is difficult due to the signal reception issue described above. > The product's user guide doesn't recommend running more than 20 LED modules from the provided power supply (too high of a current draw). I found that when all 10 of modules in the Minimalist Pack were connected, colors like white (which uses all LEDs in a module) didn't look uniform across the set because the power supply was being strained. Adding another 10 modules (for a total of 20) made matters much worse. I ended up purchasing another power supply (adapter) rated at twice the load capacity to fix the color/brightness uniformity issue. Multiple power supplies feeding about 8 modules each could also work, as long as the electrical links between modules were arranged to avoid connecting two or more feeds together. I truly enjoy this product (it's one of my Amazon favorites) and would have given it 4 or 5 stars if not for the flaws I've recounted. ... show more

Cheap feeling but looks nice and functions well. And for someone who doesn't get too much sun its blindingly bright on the max setting. But brightness can go up and down. Good selection of colors too.

Easy to put together. Son lost instructions but it was easy to tell how to do it. They are nice and bright, plenty of color/arrangement options. Remote works great. The tape is the only problem. Did not stick for longer than 20 mins. I put one piece of tape on each tile and they still fell off.

Way too bright you can dim the lights but as soon as you change the color it’s back to max brightness. No changing with sound. Returned due to being way to bright for my child who I got these for.

I was able to use vcwtty hexagon lights in my St Patrick's day window design. I used them as gold pieces in the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I decorate my apartment windows every holiday, and these lights are pretty limited for what I can use them to design. The hexagon lights are bright and can be changed different colors by remote or by touch. I did have some trouble getting the connectors to fit on a few of the lights. It took some muscle to get the USB connector to fit. I was worried I may break the connector, but everything held up. I do like the way the lights are connected together and you just put the power cord into any of the lights and they all light up. I have yet to stick them to the wall, but the included adhesive tape doesn't seem like it will hold. It's been a common issue with most of the RGB lighting products I have, so I will use command strips (I used suction cup hooks to hang them to the window). I haven't decided where to put them, but I think I'm going to split them up in a couple designs along my hall way wall, or I might put them on my bar and put the liquor bottles on top of them to be lit up. The lights are basic, but it's hard to put a price on a product that is made for those with autism. I'm not sure how well they work for autism, but if they helped my child, the lights would be more than worth the cost. If using for your game room or something like what I use them for, the lights are overpriced in my opinion. I rate them 3.5- 4 stars. ... show more
