This helmet arrived on time, packaged nicely. It included 2 shields, a tinted one installed, and an extra (clear) shield in the box. Also comes with a helmet bag. What is so surprising is the fit and comfort of the helmet, and the appearance. It is much nicer than I thought, both to look at, and to wear. The interior padding is covered with a more plush material than some helmets costing 3 times the price. The ventilation is good for cooling you down on a hot day. The tinted shield is wonderful on sunny days, and has no visual imperfections or wavy spots. The field of view is wide and open. I have not ridden in the rain with it yet, but it seems to have a good gasket around the shield, and likely won't leak. The chin strap has padding for comfort. The helmet shield opens with strong detents, which help it stay in the position you put it in. This should help if riding on the highway, and you need to crack the shield barely open, the wind doesn't push it shut on a naked bike at highway speeds. I installed a CARDO on the side with a slip-on clamp style mount without too much issue (a little tight around the rubber bottom gasket, but it works), and the thicker JBL Cardo speakers fit nicely in the provided speaker cut-outs, they stay tucked away in their recessed area behind the helmet cheek pads, without the need for a velcro attachment so far. Honestly, I have 3 helmets, the other 2 are more expensive than this one, and are less comfortable. Is it SNELL rated? No. How well would it protect in a crash? Not sure...it's DOT and ECE rated. The SHARP website does show crash test results for other VCAN helmets, but not this one specifically. So evidently this is a legitimate manufacturer, even if you haven't heard of them before. If you're on the fence, for the money you cannot go wrong. I was blown away.

Overall is a decent helmet for the price. The aesthetics and comfort are good, the chin strap design is quite good, and I've experienced no fogging with the face shield. One major issue I've encountered, however, is that the face shield doesn't lock at all and is only held shut by friction. This has resulted in the face shield being ripped open while turning my head to check my blind spot on the highway. This is very jarring and requires me to immediately take a hand off the handlebars to close it, which is especially bad if you're merging or changing lanes at the time. I consider this to create a safety risk, which in my opinion is the opposite effect a helmet should have. Aside from this, this helmet lacks the ECE 22.06 certification. This isn't a surprise, as the standard is new, but buyers should be aware that helmets certified to ECE 22.06 have to undergo a wider array of tests and meet better safety standards. However, I do appreciate that the manufacturer of this helmet differentiates in the description to make this clear to the buyer. This likely makes it better than many helmets that are just DOT approved, but ECE 22.06 is preferred.

I am happy with my purchase and highly recommend this helmet for any beginner looking for a full face helmet. good price, good quality, and very nice design. give it a try for $64. I am 5'9 180 lbs and usually wear m/l shirts and the large helmet fit me a bit tight at first but has loosened up a little. Feels just right on the fit and it has the ratchet style strap. Is includes 2 visors, one clear and one tinted.

This seems like a decent enough bargain helmet. But omg was it small... I have two helmets in a size large, and I measured my head and compared to the size chart. Once it arrived I barley got the helmet over my head, it was crushing my skull, and i required assistance to remove it... So I'm sending it back and ordering the next size up. I know a helmet should not be loose but that fit was... Extreme.
