To lock LifePod simply press and hold the lock pad to engage the internal locking mechanism. An optional anti-picking feature can be enabled to prevent picking of the front keyway.
  • DESIGNED TO PERFORM. Advanced non-metal polymer construction is engineered to be LIGHTWEIGHT with SUPERIOR STRENGTH and DROP TESTED to be the ultimate rugged lockbox. Side compression latches and inner rubber gasket seal off the interior from environmental factors. LifePod is weather resistant, airtight, dust proof, floats, and is TSA complaint.
  • Powered by a 9V alkaline battery (not included) with a battery life of up to one year under normal use. LIFEPODS CAN ALSO BE USED WITHOUT A BATTERY and still function as a water resistant case. The front rubber keyhole cover disguises a hidden micro-USB port to power the unit in case of a dead battery.

I’ve been interested in Vaultek for a while now. But I had a “average” safe with a electric buttons for the combination. But I really wanted to get a nice portable one. Vaultek knocked it out of the park. Besides being incredibly well built and super functional, it’s an absolute work of art visually. It’s gorgeous. For functionality, they thought of everything and executed flawlessly. Biometric finger print entry. Key pad entry. Key entry just in case. But you can lock out the key entry. You can store up to 20 finger prints (includes the 2 admin finger prints). The usability is excellent. So easy to program and use. Inside has multiple configuration options based on your needs including a removable tray and extra foam. Steel cable to secure it. And built tough. If I could design the absolute perfect safe (I’m using them for my guns), I’d not even have come close to how perfect this one is. I can’t recommend it more. Just get it. This works great. It’s a little bigger then I thought but it’s pretty sturdy. You would not think this is a polymer. Very simple to use and change the combo to what u want the storage and light are a nice added feature and it is airtight that I really like . I was looking for some to take with me on trips to store my edc kit. After looking at several different ones the lifepod 2.0 caught my eye. So I thought it's a little pricey but I'd give it a shot. Now my edc is a glock g5 mos with a holosun rmr, with suppressor height sights and a streamlight tlr 7a. And my biggest issue was if it would fit. I'm glad to say yes it does, plus another magazine of ammo. But that's about all I can put in it. And the tray is absolutely useless. Even with thinnest foam in place, it bulges the case lid. Instead of if giving us a tray we will never use, you could have just gave a bit of storage in the lid without having to spend more money on one. Overall I'm going to give this product a 4 star. Fix the wasted storage issue. Just make the tray store in the top. Where it would makes more sense. ... show more

I've always kept a gun on my bedside table in a holster that you have to push a button to release, but with our grandkids getting older, I didn't want to chance one of them being able to access it. I looked at regular safes, but I liked the portability of this safe if I every chose to take it somewhere. I now have 2 handguns in it that fit great.
