This ribbon is not flimsy, I tried beating it up by stretching all directions, driving pins through it, and trying to tear it apart from the center. I held up to all that abuse (I've had grosgrain not survive these tests). I use it for accents, but the reason for the brutality it endures is because I lace corsets with it, which requires it to be amazingly strong and impervious to warping. Like others have said, it's quite lustrous on the shine side and I'm quite happy with it! Also, was true to color, width, and length.

I purchased this in 1/4 in x 50 yard, in both ivory and gold. It is very nice double sided satin ribbon. The ivory has a slight peachy cast to it. I thought for a moment that I was sent the wrong color, but there is nothing on the packaging besides an internal product code to let you know what color it is. It should still work for what I’m using it for, but know that it’s not a true ivory. The gold looked like expected. There is also zero product info on the actual product besides the brand name, so I marked the length and color on the cardboard spool with a marker, in case I need to order more. My other concern, which I found was my fault but wanted to share so that others don’t make the same mistake - this is not 50 continuous yards. It is two spools of 25 yards each. They show two spools in one of the pictures and technically say so further down in the description, but it was a search to find it. So don’t buy this if you need 50 continuous yards. I did, as I’m stringing paper lanterns between some trees in my yard, but I’m okay with a little bow or something in the middle to combine the two lengths. But some people might not be, so be forewarned! Overall, this is a very nice ribbon and seems to be of high quality, so I’m not docking any stars for my mild concerns. Beats dealing with the crowds at the local craft store, so I’ll take that as a win.

I'm a seamstress for a charity that uses donated wedding dresses to create burial gowns for babies. The gowns are given to hospitals, and no family is ever charged for these My biggest expense is ribbon. This ribbon has become a favorite of my group. It's soft, and double sided. But the big sell is 50 yards! And it is so affordable. This has become my go to! I can't say how much this product has meant to what I do!
