I have been playing pickleball for a few months and still consider myself a beginner and was using a cheap Amazon branded paddle which work fine when learning for the first time until you get good enough to break them. For my replacement I was recommended by reviewers and a player that this paddle is a great replacement for beginners for it’s a paddle built as good as other more expensive paddles at a reasonable price. It did take a few games to get used to the feel of the paddle but once I felt comfortable I was very impressed how much more control I had when being in kitchen area compared to how I played before. I have only played a few games so far but I know this paddle will improve my game and I strongly recommend any beginner who is looking for a good control paddle to by this paddle. I also learned for these type of paddles you should use a rubber block like the carbon fiber paddle eraser to clean the carbon fiber so the paddle can be more effective when doing spins and to last longer.

I just spent the weekend playing with the Vatic Pro Prism v7. Stellar paddle. I play a control game on a 4.0-4.5 level. I traded from a very soft 1st gen Carbon fiber paddle were I had good dinks and resets, but had trouble putting the ball away and I lost a bit of the disguise on my speed ups to generate more power. Vatic changed that. This is a good overall paddle for my game. The grit on the paddle is like nothing I've played with in the past. It holds the ball on the paddle and give me more control of my shots. My speed ups were great. No loss of control on my dinks or third shot drops. Added more topspin on my drives. More pop on my overheads. (20% at least). I struggled with keeping my flick attacks in because of the power of the paddle. No fault of the paddle, I just don't need the backswing I used to. I think this paddle will pop me up to a solid 4.5 player my taking time away from my oponents on speed ups and flick attacks. Need a few more days to get it down. Highly recommend it.

When I started my limit was and still is $100.00 My first paddle was very good. This Valic Prism is next level for the same money. I play better now and can distinguish the difference. Wow! There is a difference. Balance, spin, control, power and the ability to Dink with confidence. All for $100.00

We play at my fire department every day (between calls and training) and although I am a very decent "old guy" player, this paddle has taken my game to a new level. I befuddle our opponents with crazy "hit up when I hit down" spin shots and back them up with ferocious "faces or laces" slams. Had to get used to the 16mm thickness but got it dialed in after 2 days of playing. Love it!

I have been playing pickleball off and on for just over a year so still a beginner. My former paddle was an Onix Z3 which I struggled with in the short game. This Vatic paddle is a huge improvement. It is very lightweight, grip has tacky feel and I find it extremely comfortable. In addition, it is about a half inch longer than my Onix which has helped give me confidence at the kitchen line. With the Vatic, my control over dinks and the 3rd shot drop has gone way up. The only downside I found with the Vatic is what several other reviews have stated-not as much power as other paddles.

Great for that soft touch when you need it. I would give it a 5 but I only had it for a few weeks. This is my first serious racket (intermediate level) and I can grow with it.

Played with it one time so far and the experience was positive. Its design does soften the impact when striking the ball. Power is more than adequate to drive the ball when needed. Haven’t made use of its spin potential yet. My only complaint is the paddle cover which barely fits being to small.

Paddle choice is very subjective. I purchased this paddle because it was similar in specs to my standard 4-year-old Tempest Wave Pro paddle. I like the thicker paddles with more control, and this Vatic Prism 16 mm is slightly longer, with a raw carbon surface for spin. The weight and handle size and thickness are the same as the Tempest Wave Pro, making it an easy choice to purchase without trying it first. That and the reasonable price. It has improved my game to some degree over the past month, and at the very least I've had no difficulty adapting to it. IMO there are only two kinds of paddles -- the thinner ones which return more force to the ball, and thicker ones that absorb more of the energy and optimize control. Not that you'll have trouble imparting force with this paddle, but I personally like it.
