So I had ordered a competitor brand last week, but when I saw they delayed my shipment from August to October 30th, I decided to cancel and find another option. I had been eyeing the 60" Varidesk for awhile, but had gone with a competitor due to the lower price point. Ended up ordering this on Tuesday after cancelling the other desk order, and had an estimated delivery date of 3 days later! (8/14). Later that Tuesday I had already received the notification that the package had shipped. Several reviews as well as the product description noted that this ships in 2 boxes (legs in one desktop in another) so I wasn't sure if I would only be getting once piece. Not only did I get both parts delivered at the same time, I got it a day early! On to my review of the product: Setup: As easy as people say. I will say that the boxes are definitely on the heavy side. I was able to carry both inside on my own, but I also channeled He-Man prior to doing so; so be warned, you'll likely want two people to move it. The instructions came in the box with the stand. Extremely simple instructions. The desktop box is marked with up arrows to let you know which side of the desktop box should be up. The side that is up is the bottom-side of the desk. This is important, because when you open the desktop box, you'll follow instructions to install the full stand kit with the desktop still top-side down in the box. They also smartly include packaging that allows you to simply open up the plastic away from the desk to access the desktop. All in all once I had the boxes open and read the instructions, it took about 10 minutes to actually put the desk together. Once you have it together, you will definitely need 2 people to flip the desk over carefully and avoid any damage to the desktop. Make sure you flip it over towards the backside of the desk to avoid damaging the control panel. Function: The desk works perfectly. Extremely easy to program preset heights, and is quiet and quick when raising or lowering. I set mine at 42.0 while standing, and I notice virtually no movement when typing or using my mouse. When sitting I have it set at 28, and its sturdy as a brick. While this desk was a few hundred more than the other brand I had initially chosen, I have no regrets. it seems fantastic. Quality: As you've seen in other reviews, this desk feels like a high-quality product. It looks fantastic, and is just simply aesthetically pleasing. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with Vari - not only their product, but the service. If you are considering this desk, I cannot recommend enough!

Surprisingly, both boxes (table top, and legs) arrived within 24 hours of ordering. The table top's shipping box had more damage than I would have liked to have seen: 1 fist-sized puncture and 1 badly crumpled corner. That said, the package engineering was as impressive as the actual hardware's engineering, and no damage occurred. MY DISAPPOINTMENTS: Only the shipping arrival condition. But this is not the fault of the seller, and to the seller's credit, the product was securely cocooned in reinforced cardboard, bubble wrap, and foam protection. MY DELIGHTS: 1. Unexpectedly fast delivery. 2. Assembly could not possibly be any easier. I'm not saying that it was easy, but given the sheer weight and size of this thing, much engineering forethought went into making it as painless for the consumer as possible. Oh, and zero tools needed!! 3. Ancillary parts were smartly bagged, and instructions were super clear. 4. Rock solid! No shake. And there's no way a toddler is going to pull this thing over on themselves. 5. Goes lower than my fancy desk at work, and goes higher as well! 6. Nice, easy to use controller with 4 presets available. Reasonably fast and reasonably quiet motors. 7. The fake wood table top has a very slight texture and a silky feel that is marvelous to the touch. It is so well fabricated. The edges -- everything. Time will tell if the motors and controller will hold out, but for now (for the $850 this cost me) I could not be more pleased. So pleased, in fact, with the engineering and the quality, that I plan to write to the manufacture. A quality breath of fresh air in our disposable world. I realize that $850 is not cheap - but the quality of this desk makes this an incredible value, in my opinion. This desk far exceeds what I was expecting.

My chiropractor told me if I did not quit sitting for long periods of time that my sciatic nerve pain would become a permanent condition. I am a software developer stuck to a desk for 8 hours a day and that was a difficult thing to hear. So, I went looking for solutions and after several hours of research and reviewing more options than I can remember, I found this desk. I was hesitant to spend so much money when there were so many other less expensive options. However, I kept coming back to this one for several reasons. It was the right width and length to replace my existing desk, the style matched my office, the testimonial videos I watched on YouTube reassured me of the quality, and finally I found out a coworker had the exact same desk and they were above and beyond satisfied with it. I placed my order and a couple of days later it arrived, well packaged in 2 boxes. One for the table top and one for the legs, controls, etc. Assembly was minimal and very easy. You need 2 people to turn the desk upright and position it so don't try it by yourself or you risk injury. Now that it is setup, all I can say is that this desk is amazing. The look, the quality, the sturdiness and the smoothness of the height adjustment is flawless. There is absolutely nothing about this desk that I can criticize. It is heavy, built with solid steel legs, but that just makes it feel solid, like a real piece of fine furniture. I am typing this review while standing at my new desk and it feels good and I absolutely love it.
