Absolutely love these! So much that I ordered another set and getting ready to order a third for new plants I'm propagating. I only have to water once a week, which is great for my high up plants, and my plants are thriving. I've switched out all my old planters for these. Only thing I wish, was that they came in a variety of more decorative styles. I've put a few smaller ones inside my bigger old decorative pots though for now. Definitely buy them! ... show more

These are a great value for the money because you get so many in a good range of sizes, and they come with wicks too for bottom watering. The only thing I really don't like, and the reason I took off one star, is because of the way the saucer twists onto the bottom. It's hard to get it "latched" in there right and sometimes you'll think you got it and go to carry the pot away and the saucer falls off. I was really pleased with this product. The complementing water catching tray on bottom of potting plants is a bonus. The various size planters are great for my window herbs: such as sage, parsley, basil,and more. I recommend these for the cost and the beauty of them as window planters.

I have never tried self-watering planters before I have already filled all of them with new plants. Water from the top for the first week but then all from the bottom. It's exciting to try this. I got these pots for use with leca, however the design of this pot doesn't really work that well with leca. I'm sure it'd be fine with regular soil or maybe pon, but the wick at the bottom doesn't pull enough water to the leca so my plants were getting too dry. Bummed because it's difficult to find good leca pots that aren't too expensive, and the description of this item said it'd work. ... show more

Plants are air purifer plants from amazon as well! Very nice! - great idea to place the string at the bottom for roots to absorb. Picture shown i had to use double sided velcro because...well...i have cats 5 starts all the way around - but why 5 not 6 pots??
