Very happy with these shoes. The style is classic, and the all white looks very clean. Overall, the shoes are comfortable and run a little narrow on the outside toe section, but nothing the style doesn't compensate for. The Vans Ryland have a great style and the price is very fair for what you get. They look good and are easy to match with different outfits. That said, there is a comfort issue: the tongue under the laces presses against the foot while walking and can feel uncomfortable after some time. They fit my son perfectly, and were less expensive than the vans store, or online. The color is great, and matches virtually everything. He says they’re easy to keep clean also, by just brushing them off.

    • Best Vans I've had in years -- my new favorite shoe!

Subtle enough that I can wear them with business casual clothing. Smart enough to look great while doing it. These shoes are fairly thin around the ankle and on the tongue, and I prefer thicker cushioning, but they are very comfortable despite not being what I generally prefer. They are very trouble free to wear for hours, and in my job I walk and stand a great deal -- but these shoes didn't have to be broken in for me because they were "right" from day one. That's never happened to me, and I'm delighted. The fit is on the small side, but I knew that so I purchased a full size bigger than I normally get and added an extra insole after wearing them a few days to make them fit perfectly for my feet. I usually have to buy wider shoes, but these fit fine with the sizing adjustment taken in advance. I had a pair of Vans that I loved so much I bought several pair -- they were discontinued and I wore them to death over more than 15 years. In the mean time I've purchased three different models that were decent but not stellar for me (and I bought them at a Van's store) -- they were merely "good enough." These though, these are not just keepers, they're my new daily preference footwear. 5/5 stars and my faith in Vans is restored. ... show more
