    • Finally, Something That Works and Doesn't Cause Rashes
Update Edit: I've noticed it works better if rubbed in a bit. This isn't like most scented deodorants. It works by using antibiotic properties, not fragrance. If you rub it in well, perhaps it works in almost a long-lasting, "dry" soap kind of way. If only placing a 1-2 kind of gentle coating motion, it really doesn't work as well. So I would recommend working it into the skin with the applicator 7-10 passes worth. Dont use more product than normal, I just mean spread it around/rub it into skin. Works really great. No smell, but allows me to smell like me, just without B.O. :-) Note: I've never been much of a sweat-er, so if you're someone who gets very sweaty easily, not sure if this would still be effective for you...BUT I would still try it, if I were you, anyway. Because it's been really effective for me and it can't hurt. I've gotten NO rashes or itching from it. I've reacted to several common deodorant products in the past which is why I decided to try this one. No weird discoloration. No damage to clothing. It has lasted over a day for me, when I've forgotten to reapply the next day and didn't need a shower that morning (it was a busy day lol I have 3 young kids so sometimes shower time gets delayed!) The only thing I dislike about it is that it's a wet gel/paste texture. So it stays a bit wet and cold for a couple minutes. But you don't have to wait until it's dry to put your shirt on or anything. I just go about my day, if it gets a bit on the fabric I can't tell. Like I said, no damage to clothing. It isn't oil based. It's also not wet enough to soak into the fabric, so no weird wet underarm spots when applying. It's just really great. Sure, maybe sometimes I wish it had some fun, interesting scent like "ginger green tea jasmine ylang-ylang sugar cookie forest" or whatever, but I KNOW I would get a rash from most, or any, kind of fragrance ingredients lol Tip: a lot of hippie dippy people like to say essential oils are safe for sensitive skin, but a lot of people get rashes from them. I don't understand how they are allowed to say on products with essential oils that they're sensitive or allergy safe. They just aren't. Even people who don't usually have what they consider to be "sensitive skin" sometimes react to essential oil. Just FYI. So if you DO have sensitive skin, you really should try to get fragrance free stuff. Essential oils are NOT hypoallergenic. Anyway, I love this deodorant. I hope they never stop making this because it's really the only one I've found that my skin gets along with. AND it works better than any other one I ever used. It's even better than a certain SUPER popular drugstore brand aimed at men that I was using before this. Not sure if I'm allowed to name the brand here in my review.     • Mixed Emotions on this Deodorant…
I’ve used the same deodorant for as long as I can remember. I’m not good with change. Then, I got a slap of reality. I broke out in an unforgiving rash! I ended up having to go to the dermatologist multiple times! He told me I was having an allergic reaction to the hygiene products I was using. How?!?? I’ve used them since I was a little girl! This couldn’t be happening! It was, though. I had to do something. He said I had to go with some of the best fragrance, dye, etc. free products I could buy. He gave me a few different names of products. He wanted me to try this, and see if it got better. I came home and started searching Amazon until I found this deodorant (amongst other Vanicream products). I decided to try it to see if it would work. I noticed pros and cons with this deodorant. First, it’s very expensive for a bottle of deodorant! It goes quickly! It is a great gel formula, though! It goes on great! It goes on (and for the most part) stays clear! I did notice, that after having it on several hours, the deodorant started to slowly turn into a crumb like material which I wasn’t crazy about! The deodorant did provide great odor protection for almost 48 hours! This deodorant doesn’t keep me as odor free as other brands I used to use. Like I said, it lasted approx 48 hours before I had body odor again. Now, the sensitive skin part? It is spot on! It is SO easy on the skin! It is 100% fragrance free! It’s the ONLY deodorant that doesn’t sting and burn when I apply it after shaving! That was mind blowing! It’s very, very gentle! It also helped heal the rash and stop the itching! Having said all of this, it is on the more costly side! The rash came with a cost, too! A miserable cost! I just needed something that would work! I found it in this deodorant! It’s so gentle! It NEVER burns! There is no more rash! It was totally worth it! I would definitely recommend this product to anybody that needs an incredibly gentle and professionally recommended product! This saved me. I have tried lumi, secret, native, lush, hume, humble, hello, toms, schmidts, salt deodorants solid and spray, aloe vera deodorants, and probably more ive blocked out. I was convinced I just am destined to stink 3 hours after a shower lol. Ive spent years searching for a deodorant as some work for a few weeks then stop. This is the best deodorant ive tried and I work outdoors. Just seriously amazing and good ingredients too its simple. I also use panoxyl as a antibacterial wash in the shower! ... show more

    • Great for skin irritation not for BO
Been using this product for a over a month. I have very sensitive under arms and I was suddenly getting rashes after using Lume for several years. I made the switch to Vanicream and that seemed to help for the most part. It worked well for skin irritation but it did nothing for BO. I felt stinky half way thru my day. (Not that I'm super active while at work but I began to notice) Moving on to a new product hopefully one that is just as sensitive as Vanicream and masks BO better. ... show more

I am updating my earlier 3 star review because the vendor reached out and immediately and solved the problem. They replaced the faulty deodorant container with a new one. Excellent customer service and I really love this product as it is truly hypoallergenic and actually works. Previous review: in general I really like this product and have a subscription to get it routinely from amazon. I give it 5 starts with the exception of this recent problem which is why I am giving it 3 stars. The last one I received was bone dry. There was NO gel at all in the container when I opened the sealed container. There are no dates on the container so I don't know if it was old or just defective from the start. No way to return to amazon or request a refund or replacement . Just want to make others aware to maybe check the container on arrival ... show more

    • Works, but irritates my skin
I am only rating this a 4 because it irritates my skin. It is probably just me, I have a lot of allergy problems. It does keep the smell and the sweat away pretty good, but i cannot use it. i have tried several times. It is a clear, wet gel, but not sticky.
