I’ve been fighting (and losing) against body odor for most of my life and at this point I was kind of resigned to never finding a deodorant that would work the way they all promise. That is, until I heard of this brand. I decided to buy the box with different smells because I wasn’t sure how I would feel towards them and the regular tubes are not cheap, so I wanted to make as an informed decision as possible. And I’m very happy that I did! Although I would have loved for the box to include the other smells (Fresh Alpine, Mint Cucumber, and Baby Powder), it has allowed me to experience different fragances and how they go with my body. I love that there is a sampler pack so I can try the different scents. I've used Lume before and really like it. Although it doesn't work great for my arm pits, it is amazing for other areas. Feet, chest, nether regions. It does have a musky smell when you first use it but it goes away quickly. I was hoping the tube sizes would have been just a little bigger but I will still enjoy using them none the less. ... show more

    • Mini option is good for trying before you buy
The smell of the product on my fingers after applying reminded me of the effects of an upset stomach coming back up. It did however do what it was supposed to and the smell wasn’t on me just lingered on my hands after 2 washes. I think maybe I’ll use popsicle sticks or a brush to apply next time. I washed with Castile and black soap prior and made sure everywhere was dry and applied a pea-sized amount as instructed. I smelled all of the scents and the only one that mildly warded off the smell was toasted coconut. Im thinking it may possibly lie in the fact that the bottles were smaller but again that particular smell wasn’t noticeable on me after a few minutes. It’s not an antiperspirant but I noticed that I wasn’t as sweaty either. I definitely didn’t notice any body odor after hour 10 following application. I would definitely try another, larger bottle, possibly in the powder scent to see if that offers any difference in battling that smell. I bought this 5 mini sample pack to help me determine which scent I would prefer and to determine if the product actually works before committing to purchasing the larger product size. I was a bit surprised at how small the sample size containers were for the price. I have included a picture so the consumer can see the actual size of the product. This product cost $30.49. I was going to return it as soon as I received it because I felt the cost was not worth what I received for the amount of product. I decided in the end to give it a chance. This product arrived at the perfect time. I was able to test it during a trip to Florida during 100 degree heat, I will admit, I was very anxious to test this product in such extreme heat and I am a very active person. I exercise everyday and I went for long walks in the sun and heat. Surprisingly, I didn’t notice an sweat odor after long hours of exercise/ activity, but I did reapply couple of times, purely out of fear that it could start to fail. As far as scent is concerned, the unscented cream does have a scent, not very pleasant, more like light diaper rash cream. Lavender sage does have smell of lavender with small diaper rash cream like smell mixed in. Toasted coconut smells like coconuts without the diaper rash cream after smell. Clean tangerine smells like tangerine with slight diaper rash cream after smell. Peony Rose smells like rose. I used a pea size amount under each arm and rubbed it into my skin. If felt lightweight and didn’t stain my clothes. Over all this product did the job. My favorite scents were Toasted Coconut, Lavender, and Clean Tangerine. I have tried many aluminum free deodorants in the past and found many of them failed me, this product did not. My review is based of smell, effectiveness, the fact that it is aluminum free and cost. I wish this product was more affordable. I am trying to always save money and find products that are better for my health. Does the product work? Yes! Is it cost effective? No! Is it aluminum free? Yes! I do value my health and at the same time, I do have to watch where I spend my money. So far this sample pack has lasted for 2 applications per day for 2 weeks with a significant amount left for at least another 2 weeks left. For those of us who live on a budget, I don’t know if I would purchase again, simply because the price, but if you are someone who spends money on products that contain less chemicals, it might me worth a try. ... show more

For years I have been looking for an aluminum free deodorant/antiperspirant- and I finally found it! Lume is incredible! I kept testing it by using my old reliable deodorant on one arm, and Lume on the other. I worked out, ran errands, and tried to stink it up for days! Lume worked better than anything ever! A few years ago when Lume came out I tried the vanilla scent, (no longer available). On me it smelled awful so I gave up. This sample pack was a great way to give the other scents a try without investing a lot of money on products I didn’t like. I have seen sample packs over the years and after reading the names of what was in the sample, only 2 sounded like something I would like, and the samples aren’t cheap. I bought a tube of nonscented and although it worked amazing, it staaaaaank. So then I bought this variety pack to try out different smells and they alllllllllll staaaaaaaaank. So I gave up. They all stink. Only for the first few minutes but it goes away. I went back to the big tube again and now I'm just buying it based on the color of the tube. DO NOT SMELL IT WHILE PUTTING IT ON. I keep buying it because it works wonders. Smelling my socks at the end of the day still smells laundry fresh. It is weird! ... show more

I bought the samples so I could see if I liked the product and which scent I would like. Like everyone has mentioned, when first applied, it has a distinct smell that must be the natural enzymes. Goes away quickly. I liked all the scents, but if I were to purchase one scent it would be unscented, coconut or lavendar. ... show more
