  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Works as a midi controller
Size: 88 Lighted Full Size Keys-Foldable Color: Purple
The media could not be loaded. Here are my thoughts: 1. I'm not really sure why I got the foldable one... they sell a version that doesn't fold too in case you didn't see it. If you want to put this on a piano stand (not a table) you will need to buy a board to support the keyboard so that it doesn't put stress on the folding part. I bought a shelf for 10 dollars at home depot that is the perfect size and supports the piano on the piano stand. 2. I also ended up buying a new pedal... you can definitely play with the pedal it comes with but ithe sewing machine style just doesn't feel right. Make sure that any pedal you buy is compatible with the 3.5mm jack, or buy a converter. 3. Since I am mostly just playing with headphones for fun, I tried using the USB midi in the free cakewalk program. I thought I would sample a few free VST plugins that I really liked as well. Piano001 is what that inbuilt sound on the piano is like. I reccomend using VST plugins for this piano in either cakewalk or cantible because you can make it sound a lot more pleasing without spending any extra money. The midi functionality works pretty ok, even with my low spec laptop. I used Windows WASAPI shared audio driver, which eliminated most of the lag. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Not perfect
Unfortunately only half the keyboard lights up on demo mode, so I've requested an exchange. Hopefully the new one will work fine. It seems like the settings available are pretty cool and we can't wait to use it when we have a fully functioning one. Since that is my only complaint, otherwise works great. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Practical and well constructed for the money
Size: 88 Lighted Full Size Keys-Foldable Color: White
first you can bring it in along with other bags by just throwing it over your shoulder. Really easy to set up and I use my apple iPads so I don’t make any noise in the hotel room. If you want a decent low-cost instrument that is fun - this is it. The only negative is volume controls don’t work very well but that doesn’t matter because I only use headphones. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Nice keyboard
I was an accomplished pianist once upon a time and did a ton of research before making this purchase. I've never played on anything but a piano with ivory keys, so I knew it was going to be an adjustment I getting use to the feel. My very first thought was that it is not as big as the ones I've seen before. It's quite narrow for being a full size piano keyboard. It sounds great, too. With so many different choices to customize your songs. It is able to blue tooth or you can connect directly with a USB cord. It charges quickly with a regular ac/dc plug. I would suggest upgrading the damper pedal. It's a little small and doesn't want to stay out on carpet. I'm not sure if this is a con or not, but the lower part of the keyboard doesn't seem to have the same volume as the upper . I also have to out a little more effort in striking those notes. Now, this could totally be that my hands are not in shape like they were 30 years ago and with the keys being weighted it really shows . Or it could be that there is something hindering the sound from coming thru in the lower end. I don't know. That's my only complaint, if it is one. Oh, yes, I do have one official complaint. There is no sheet music stand or place to attach one to the back of the keyboard so I can place my sheet music on. I'm old school and prefer to read music and not a screen when playing. Even if I was to use the route of electronics, there is still no place to rest them against . That makes it difficult to see the screen when laying flat. Two suggestions I have would be to add another outside pocket to the carrying case. Which is lovely, by the way. It just needs more room for headphones, cords, music, pencil, etc. And adding something so the power button doesn't get pressed while in the case being transported and draining the battery. I'm loving this though and super excited to get back into the swing of things. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Replaced by manufacturer after it broke!
The thin plastic hinges in the center broke after under a dozen uses within 2 months. I emailed the support on the website regarding getting a replacement hinge part or getting other repair support. The fragile hinge is clearly a separate piece from the body. I planned gluing a couple metal hinges from the hardware store, but the support team responded to my inquiry same day and offered a full replacement piano! Keys light up and feel weighted very well. The VR app Piano Vision works well for learning more songs with this midi keyboard. very compact! ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Great but I don't know if it could be any better
What I like most it's bluetooth and they made it simple to plug in no midi cable needed it uses micro USB. You can plug it into your phone if you have a USB a to type c however the bluetooth only seems to work for the android phone if you have an app that connects to it. Thinking about it now What would I like to see it work on the oculus quest 2 it can be connected bit yet again you need an app to connect to so if your going to play it you need to know it's not going to be easy to adjust in some ways oculus doesn't receive the sound from it for some reason when plugged in so you might need to get a type c and aux splitter. Cause it might be the keyboard or the oculus quest 2. Do I absolutely love it yes am I a beginner also yes does it have a nice sound I think so the pi turns do it justice so I'm not going to take a picture . If I were to improve anything I would add a magnetic or clamping phone holder or music program holder nothing crazy. Is it big yes I'm 5 10 it comes up to my nipples standing side up it comes with a travel bag accessories like a input to aux for a monitor or amp which if your just practicing and learning you won't need it you can use the onboard speakers naturally or use headphones to keep the noise down and not disturb the other tenets. It also comes with a charging block and sustain pedal totally got you covered. I took one star due to the bluetooth issue requiring a app to connect for android was not something I liked 😑 but over all I love it ... show more
