Got this to replace an old flute that doesn't work well anymore. I only play a couple times a year for events so didn't want to spend a lot. So far this is playing nicely. Good beginner or intermediate flute. 2 week update: Got the flute out today after only playing a couple times since received. I couldn't get any sound out of it, then noticed one of the small thin wires on the flute had come off the peg base. I got it back on and it plays fine again. However this should not be an issue on a new instrument. If it breaks off the flute will be unplayable. Also this is for beginners and if an 11 or 12 year old would have this happen and bend or snap the wire, it will damage the playing ability if the instrument. So beware. Plays nice when works.

I was so excited to get this flute. It's been 30 years since I've played, and I was looking forward to relearning how to play. When my flute arrived I immediately took it out to admire it. The first time I went to play scales the notes were not right. Then I noticed that the keys were not depressing properly, and when I would press keys with my right hand, some of the keys that would be pressed with the left hand were closing as well. I took the flute to my local music store to have them bring it to playing condition and it's going to cost me $193.00 for them to bring a brand new instrument to playing condition. Super disappointed!
