I love these stainless steel bowls for my cats. They have a black rubberized bottom to help prevent slipping. They aren't very deep so not good for multiple cats or water unless you have multiple options for your fur babies or are on scheduled feeding. Great to help prevent whisker fatigue. I have noticed that there is less pukeage from my 2 cats since getting these bowls. The only thing that would make this better is if there was an optional elevated holder for the bowls. I have an elevated holder for my current bowls but cannot use these as they aren't wide enough to stay in it. The cat face is just a plastic piece like a window cling, it is not part of the bowl. This is a very nice little bowl, but I should have read the entire description. I thought it looked like the two small/medium bowls I have for my cats, but it is actually smaller than my Corelle cereal bowl. I will keep it but I need to be more observant! 😏
