As you might expect from Van Heusen, this is a quality shirt at a great price. For me, the material is a bit thin, but when you consider the price, it's about right. The material is comfortable and not at all scratchy - I've always liked poplin weave. It looks dressy and certainly can be worn casually. I got the white, and the color is bright and kinda pops. It seems to be fairly wrinkle-free if I get it out of the dryer in time and don't over dry. I think the light-weight material accounts for that. The fit is great. I have a 43" chest and usually wear a 16 or 16.5" neck and 34/35 sleeves. I think the 16" neck would have been too tight while the 16.5" I bought is as close as I can get - still can button the top button easily and doesn't look sloppy worn with the top unbuttoned. And the 34/35 sleeve length is perfect. ... show more

Very nice shirts; I bought 3 and will buy more. When they arrive, they are folded and packaged like a high-dollar shirt, complete with all the cardboard and pins. The shipping folds and wrinkles did not come out after washing and drying. Other people must have some magical washers and dryers. I did have to iron them, but ironing was easy with steam and worth it. Much easier than ironing 100% cotton. Very nice lighter shirt that breathes well. Fit perfectly. ... show more

    • The Neck Size Runs Mercilessly Small
Size: 16.5" Neck 32"-33" Sleeve Color: White
The shirt is described as 65% polyester, 35% cotton, which it appears to be; a nice fabric for a poplin dress shirt. It is by no means wrinkle free. In fact, the way the shirt is tightly pinned and wrapped, it was laden with abundant wrinkles. It simply cannot be worn without washing and ironing for the first wearing. I attempted to iron out the packing wrinkles and it was impossible, even when misting with water and having the iron set on steam. I had to wash it on a permanent press cycle and then run a full rinse cycle to remove the creases from the way it was factory packed. As a 65/35 blend, I doubt that there was any appreciable shrinkage. I had my dryer on low and pulled the shirt from the dryer to iron it when it hadn't dried completely. I ironed out the wrinkles and the shirt looks terrific and then I tried it on. The body and sleeves fit as they should, but the neck is a full inch and a quarter too small. (Yes, I measured with a tape measure.) I am exactly a 16.5 inch neck size and it would be impossible for me to wear this shirt with a neck tie. If you order this shirt, order up at least one neck size and keep all the packing material so you can return it. DO NOT trust the size on the shirt. Try it on to be certain that it fits, before you iron it or attempt to wash out the wrinkles. I'm keeping mine, because I didn't try it on before washing it to get out the wrinkles.
