Description
Keep drinking water flowing to your RV in colder temperatures with the Valterra 25' x 1/2" Heated Fresh Water RV Hose. Freeze protection down to -5°F. This water hose features a self-regulating heat source that supplies additional heat as the temperature drops. The self-regulating design eliminates the need for a thermostat, saving power. Heavy-duty insulator cuffs with zippers are added at both ends of the hose to provide additional protection from low temperatures. After doing research on various options for a heated hose I bought this one and am very happy with the purchase. We only plug it in when it is going to be under 40 degrees as noted in the manual. The plug lights up showing it is working. We remove the water filter system (sold separately) when the weather forecast reports 33 degrees or lower. We have no problems with it. At first we switched this one with our standard white RV hose when the cold weather was coming but it works so well we use as our primary now.

I purchased one of these hoses a couple of years ago and it got me through 2 winters camping in my motor home. I had a problem with the hose fittings leaking with this year’s installation so decided to purchase another one. I’ve found this heated hose can operate down to temperatures beyond the manufactures rating IF it is also wrapped with foam pipe insulation. I have been camping in South Dakota these past 2 years and temps dropped to -20F on occasion and I’m hoping to get through another Winter successfully.

Love the heaviness of the hose and the heating element....I used this all winter in 2019 and it has held up seriously for me. Had no problems with it. I would recommend it. In fact, I live rather remotely so I bought a second one for insurance. It is good for three year warranty, however. So far the first one has held up wonderfully..... I can say that cause I am a widow and I count on good products to get me through the winter! Yes, I highly recommend this hose over the Camco hose.

Poor quality. Hose connectors leak after initial installation.

Used as a water hose for my RV. The male connector fractured and began leaking after initial installation. The way the connector fractured I was afraid it would separate and result in a major leak. So I quit using the hose. Poor quality and not at all worth the cost. In the past I used a heat tape, high quality hose, and pipe insulation. This configuration worked well for years. This water hose only functioned for minutes.

This item is great. We sold our home much much faster than we thought and ended up living in our RV in Colorado starting in February of this year. We purchased this item and were skeptical, but cannot tell you how wonderful it was to still have running water even when we hit 18 below zero in Golden, CO one night. Easy to install and works like a charm.

Searched three states for a heated hose in freezing February. Finally was able to get this for delivered to the park we were staying at in Texas. And just in time. Connected it, slid the insulated collars around the fixtures and zipped them up and plugged it in. The cord lit right up. Got up the next morning it was 22 degrees at 7am and I had water. Exactly how it was supposed to be

Water didn’t freeze

Bought this for my rv for a winter in Reno. It’s drinking water safe, water didn’t taste funny at all, we did a water quality test with it attached and everything came back pure. Water never froze. Very good quality hose, rugged exterior.
