My Dyson V8 did not come with an attachment that does not have a beater brush. Since I primarily use this on bare LVP floors and don’t want to wear out the included beater brush, I bought this. Although it is not as wide as the included beater brush attachment, it works very well.

Value is there, but it isn’t as wide as the oem soft roller cleaner head, so the coverage isn’t all there. The brush isn’t “soft”, the texture is more of a sponge pad instead of a brush. The lights are a cool feature, it’s bright enough to see under cabinets and floors, which is good to see the dust and dirt left behind or ahead. Quality seems on the cheap side, but it reflects the price. I felt like the suction power was there, but because the brush was different than original attachment, maybe I was expecting it to perform the same, but I felt like dirt was being pushed around and not sucked up. If you need an attachment that gets the job done but doesn’t need to exceed your expectation, this is a good choice to purchase.

I have a black lab and man does that dog shed. The bristles are made for an easy clean, definitely great value for the your money, fits amazing on my Dyson, and performance is an A+!

I have the Dyson V7 and got this to replace the front head. The pick up is fine and I don't notice any difference from the original, the problem is that the neck is a simply screw joint and only goes up and down. it's very difficult to maneuver corners with this head as the previous pivoted beautifully around furniture and corners.

It fit my Dyson Oversized Cordless Vacuum. Dyson NEVER had an option to add a hardwood floor no brush head. It is smaller, not as wide, as the original brush head but it works fine. I’m just glad I found a fix and Dyson discontinued the Outsize, shortly after I bought it of course. Oh, and I like the little light

If you're looking to replace your original Dyson motorhead, you're in the wrong place. If you want to expand the versatility of your V7 (or others), this motorhead with soft roller from Haoyijor can help -- to be clear, the benefit to this is that it is NOT the same as a Dyson stiff-bristled motorhead. Our V7 is easily the most-used vacuum in our house because it's so convenient and pretty capable, even on our wood and tile floors, but its not perfect. The original motorhead has a bad habit of kicking some stuff around instead of vacuuming it away when it's not on carpet (small pebbles, rice, cat food, etc.), and I wondered if this soft roller would perform better. It does. No more chasing around a couple of stray bits of dry cat food. The Haohijor motorhead picks them up the first time, and also works brilliantly around the litter box area, even catching bits that the other motorhead left behind. The LED lights are suprisingly good. It's been years since I've used a vacuum cleaner with a headlight, and to be honest, it wasn't that beneficial. What makes these lights uselful is that they're REALLY close to the ground; this means that the slightest bit of dust or debris casts a shadow -- you'll get to see the truth about the floor you THOUGHT was clean, and you'll get to see the Haoyijor motorhead make it dissapear on the first pass. There is a downside to the LEDs, however: The lights kept blinding me during use because they shine through the clear window of the motorhead and up into my line of sight -- a well-placed piece of foam tape solved that problem (see pictures). Before first use, I was concerned with the maneuverability of the Haoyijor motorhead because it doesn't have the ball joint that a genuine Dyson motorhead does, but it's actually just as nimble, AND the soft roller produces less resistance than a hard-bristled roller; this makes the Haoyijor motorhead easier to roll forward and backward. If you have any non-carpeted floors in your home, this motorhead from Haoyijor will make a great partner to (not a replacement for) your original Dyson motorhead.

Sans the $90 I had to spend on two OEM's, I've managed to build an entire V8 out of aftermarket promotional parts. So I can't speak to how it compares to an original, but at 1/3 the price I feel no need to buy one. For carpet it's no good, but it's not meant for carpet. On hardwood it's great. Pivots well, decent suction, love the headlights, and starts up right away (another motorhead I got for carpet takes half a second to kick in). The only downside is that it isn't always the best at corners and edges, so I still have to hit them with a broom for deep cleaning. Not sure if that's an issue with the original but for daily stuff it works great. Oh, and I included the pics of everything because . . . you see that 12 inch velcro strap? It's all you need to quick-swap batteries. You're welcome :)

We've had our Dyson V7 for quite a few years now and really like it a lot. We were looking for an attachment with a light but questioned whether or not it would make that much of a difference. When this attachment arrived we hooked it up and it fit perfectly. Started using it and turned out we LOVE the light now! It makes such a big difference to be able to see the floor better as you move around the room especially in areas where there is no light like under the couch or cabinets. The soft roller was questionable because I thought the hair and dirt would accumulate on it but it has not been a huge issue at all. And the nice thing is the roller is removable so you can wash it, much like a paint roller. It includes a cleaning brush with a hook and blade on the other end. The instructions make no mention of how to use this accessory so not very clear what the hook and blade end is for. Lastly, the instructions mention other roller attachments but these do NOT come with this. Not sure if these can be used or purchased as different brush/roller attachments for different floor types. It only comes with the paint roller-type attachment, which for us works perfectly for our hardwood floors.
