I was disappointed by this product -- the metal is very thin and feels cheap. It's functional if you are only using now and then but it just doesn't look and feel that great. The jigger is junk -- very poorly made. It's small and doesn't have a rolled lip and feels like it's going to break in two. The shaker is also on the small side and the thin metal just doesn't feel good in the hand, and when you are putting the lid and cap on it gives me a "fingernails on the blackboard" feeling. If you are going to be making cocktails on the regular, do yourself a favor and buy something sturdier and more attractive. This will do in a pinch, however.

If you are setting up a bar and want the typical bar tools, this will work for you. The designs are OK, but the set is pretty cheaply made, as the price reflects. All in all it will do the trick if you are not a prefectionist in mixology.

It's a good stainless set that has all the basics -- everything you need as far as tools go for being a bartender. All the tools are functional, though the jigger is not my favorite since it's a big small and you have to fill it to the top. It would make a good gift, especially for someone who's a beginner or just not really that into the craft. For serious bartenders, though, you might want a more upscale, thicker stainless set. This one is very nice quality but not a premium version for craft cocktail lovers.

If this cocktail set had a citrus juicer you would be pretty well set to look like a real bartender. The silver stainless steel makes the set look “rich” and classy, however the feel is a bit cheap. I thought the shaker looked small so I got out a couple of mine, the black in the picture being the one I use most, the Vacu Vin is significantly smaller than one and a bit smaller than one of the others. I would rather have plenty of room for shaking or to double a recipe. This one is also not as heavy and gets much colder when using. The lid fits a bit loose but works, typically I use a plastic cup on mine to keep it from getting stuck so no problem. The jigger one oz and half oz, I would not even use, to small; to get a full oz you have to fill completely to top, no room to move without spilling and I would rather have a bit too much liquor than not enough (uh oh what does that tell about me…). I do like the strainers and the muddler works even though a bit light. The bottle pourer could have a cap to keep fruit flies off but a bit of plastic wrap can do. Overall I think this is a very nice set for the casual bartender. It works well and looks very nice, for the price I would expect a better quality but would be a nice gift.

The double jigger: great quick tool for measuring both 1/2 and 1oz shots. Very nice in the hand, light, but sturdy. The fine mesh strainer can be used in the shaker, which fits perfectly in body opening, to strain out debris while pouring things into the shaker. The Hawthorne strainer that snaps into the shaker works great, and sits nicely in the neck. The strainer built into the shaker lid also does great. The bottle pourer works well, no leaks, even flow. The materials are all very high quality, metal, which should last a long time, clean easily, and look good. The set is really great, and it's a nice addition to the bar tools.
