  • Excellent budget glass, great eyebox, nice hybrid reticle, but a little weighty
First off I should say that i was never able to mount or use it, had to sell off a lot of stuff more some unexpected expenses. I did look through it though, tried out the different settings and magnifications, and I liked what I saw. Excellent glass, good eyebox, and I liked the red/green dot center. Normally I have astigmatism and can't do red dots but for whatever reason it wasn't a problem here and i saw a nice crisp dot. Maybe something to do with the multiple lens coatings and the slight magnification. As others have mentioned it's nice and robust and also compact but also a little weighty. So definitily not for a build that's trying to shave ounces. But I bet it would work well on a EBG pistol or a tactical PCP less than 7 pounds or so, depending on what kind of lights or lasers one plans on adding in addition to this little beast. I might actually buy it again when I've got a proper 75+ yard thrower. ... show more

  • Great scope for the price!
Well made scope. Glass is clear. Mounts are of good quality. This is my 2nd one of these scopes that I have purchased as the 1st one exceeded my expectations. Works well for my applications!

  • Solid Build (Not so Much)
UPDATE WAY DOWN BELOW: The good stuff: This is a solid build scope and comparable to those raging in the $100-$150 range. The glass is crystal clear and has decent acquisition to target. At 24mm it is not bad. Eye relief is about 4-5 inches for me and the eye-box is as good or better than some costing 300-500. The zoom and and focus rings are a little stiff, but I prefer this over being too loose. The raised handle on the zoom is on the bottom of the scope turns the wrong way. It cannot be used at all when turning the ring. Not sure if the ring can be set differently, but it needs to be 180 degrees from the way it is now. The crosshair center has a 1.5 MOA dot. And when the red dot is on only the 1.5 dot lights up. I got this mounted on my Winchester Wildcat 22. I leveled the rail then the scope and got it all tightened up. I then used my laser boresighter to get it dialed in before I take it to the range. When I put the boresighter in and looked through the scope I thought I had the red dot on. Why? Because the crosshair reticle was dead center to red dot on my boresighter - no joke. Needless to say I have not adjusted the windage or elevation yet. Before mounting the scope I did turn them a couple clicks to check out the movement, but put them back to zero. Lift and turn then press back in to lock. Scope comes with flip-up caps and rings. Now the not so good, though minor issues: The scope is supposed to have red and green illumines. I only get red. Even when dialing through "green" on the dial the dot is red. Also, the red dot has 5 brightness settings but does not get very bright. It is good enough indoors but outside on a bright sunny day even the brightest setting I cannot see the red dot. An over cast day and aiming at a dark target this will come in handy though. So it is a nice feature. The rings come with nuts for rail mounting and allen screws for the tube. There are no torque specs in the instructions for the rings on the scope. The allen screws and nuts did not fit any bits I have for my torque wrench. I was able to rig something up to torque the rings to 15# on the tube. 15-17 seems standard on most scopes, so I kept it on the low end to be safe. And lastly, the front cap is so loose it constantly falls off. These 3 issues are not deal breakers by any means. But, for a $90 scope I would not expect these minor issues. I would definitely purchase again as long as I got one that the green light worked properly and had torque specs in the instructions. The dust cap is a non-issue. Still will give this a solid 5 stars for now. If it doesn't hold zero or there are any issues after using a few times I will come back and update my rating. Update: I had this on my 22 and it did fine. Put it on my AR and I was getting shots all over the place and 2-3 FEET off at 50 yards. I went through almost 90 rounds and never got a good group or got sighted in. I suspected the UUQ was not holding zero. I am a bad shot but not that bad. I purchased a high end LPVO for my AR and was able get zeroed in with 3 groups and a bullseye on the 10th shot. Shot 60 rounds and held zero. Not so much with the UUQ. I put the UUQ back on the 22 and zeroed in with about 6 shots and it held zero through about 100 rounds, But now I am really leery of it keeping zero on any caliber. This may be good for a BB gun, air soft or 22. but anything bigger look elsewhere. ... show more
