I got the red/white since I often go camping and I appreciate the red light for night time usage when I don't want to wreck my night vision abilities. I really like the aluminum frame. One important consideration for me was power usage, I don't want to deplete my batteries. So I measured it as following, at 12.8V DC (standard voltage of a lead-acid battery with the alternator off, or a LiFePo4 12V battery): - 3.2mA when off (a bit higher than I would have liked) - 175mA when red - 199mA when white 3.2mA might not seem much, but, over 30 days, that's 2.3Ah of power, which for the battery of a UTV/motorcycle/small vehicle, can start to be significant. So I am removing a star because of this - today it is possible to design circuits that use way less than 1mA at idle, especially simple ones like this. So it's losing one star because of this. Overall I still recommend this product - just disconnect it during prolonged storage of your vehicle (or use a battery tender).

I ordered this for an application other than what it was intended for, since I installed it on my 202 Kawasaki Mule SX an not on a Razor, but I liked the design enough to give it a try. The dome light is well-built and includes two mounting pads for flat or curved surfaces (like a roll bar). I chose to try installing it on the rear bar on the ROPS cage on my Mule, and routing the wiring down along one edge of the rear bar up under the seat to attach it to an existing battery terminal and ground screw I had installed previously. This proved pretty easy to do, and took about two hours to get the light installed and wired up, then clean up the wiring to make everything relatively pretty. My only wish is that this thing threw a little more light in a wider pattern, so that it would illuminate a larger area of the cab and more of the dash area (I may still have to put in a glove compartment light).

I ordered this to install in my patrol car, as the factory red light in the Explorer Police Utility is....lacking. The map lights don't throw off the correct angle of light either. This is the perfect solution, as it's nice and small, and fits perfectly in the area behind the red light. The white light in this is nice and crisp, and the red light is good as well. Definitely recommend.

the utv doom light is very little it has three different colors to choose from. It is 12v wired. You can use this on a couple different machines. It’s very bright. It’s easy to clean. And supposed to be long lasting . It is waterproof. It just has 1 on off switch. It’s a good value .it is very bright. Recommend.
