This is a great idea. I used this to replace the old power cable that plugs into a cigarette lighter plug for an Escort Passport Max radar detector. When we replaced the car it was in, the new power port didn't make a solid connection with Escort's old plug. But the USB-C cable works perfectly (no "low voltage" warnings).
