  • Does what I need
It does what I need and switches my mouse and keyboard between laptop and desktop… it does not do it very fast… takes at least 3 seconds to switch back and forth… long enough to notice…

  • Works as advertised
I am able to easily share a keyboard, mouse, camera, and headset between two computers and it works great. It does not automatically switch if there is only one system on - it’s always a button press to switch it. Despite that it does work as advertised, I wish I had got one with all the usb ports facing the same way. The unit is really lightweight and with cables coming into both the front and back it tends to get pulled around on the desk if not held down with tape or Velcro. ... show more

  • Works well for switching a Bloody keyboard between iMac and Dell PC
I have had two keyboards and two mice on my desk for a long time. Really sick of two keyboards on my desk. This device solved the issue. The Bloody keyboard is for gamers. I bought it as it is light touch and very slight tactile feedback. The Bloody keyboard is LED lit. So when I press the change button on the KVM little USB switch I just wait for the keyboard light to come back on. The mouse follows. I have had seamless transfer so far from imac to Dell PC and back again. Takes about 3 seconds. I do not use or care about the little blue LED light on the unit. I ignore it and watch the keyboard light up again. This is a small KVM and it is working well so far. Again 3 seconds transfer time from imac to Dell PC. And 3 seconds back. Comes with two USB male to USB male cables which works fine. Use case is this: 1) Transfer from iMac to Dell PC press button. 2) Bloody keyboard back lighting goes dark. 3) 3 seconds pass 4) Keyboard comes back on - backlight goes on again. 5) Mouse and keyboard are now on Dell Laptop computer. I do not switch printers or anything else. My printer is on the home network and wired ethernet into a Netgear Hub. Works fine for my needs after one day so far. I am NOT plugged into 5 volts power - I am using the power FROM each computer. ... show more

  • Works for Mac and PC at once.
I use the same keyboard mouse and microphone for both my work and my personal laptop. Transition from one to the other is very quick with one click of a button.

  • Is as expected.
It does what it's supposed to do. I'm not impressed nor am I disappointed. It can often be slow to switch from one output to the other, but that's the only negative comment I have. Overall, glad I bought it, but don't expect a fast response.

  • It Works (design caused me to return it)
I purchased 2 different USB switches (the one we chose to keep is listed below) after endless scrolling through listings on Amazon. It needed to be able to switch a keyboard, mouse, headset, and microphone between a work laptop and personal desktop computer. Basically all the switches are 2/4 and in a similar price range so it was a matter of choosing based on reviews/cords included/design. If I hadn't purchased another switch to have as a comparison my husband probably would have just stuck with this one since it does work. However we found the other switch had a better design. Pros: - Cables: 2 USB cords for connecting to your PC of choice, 1 Micro USB cord for powering the device if needed, the cables appear to be good quality, they are solid and thick (a bit thicker than the cables included with the switch we ended up keeping) - Very small footprint (narrower than a deck of cards but slightly longer) - Works as intended, switches your peripherals from device to another, basically the device recognizes it as unplugging and plugging back in a peripheral each time Cons/Design Flaws: - Very lightweight plastic (weighs 55 grams which is less than the deck of cards, 96 grams, used for size comparison) because of this it moves around and is easily pulled out of place by the weight of the cables plugged into it, the other switch has a metal case and more weight to it which makes it feel studier and better quality - Button for switching between devices is recessed and can be difficult to find if you have it sitting towards the back of the desk and reach without looking to press it, this is something my husband didn't realize mattered until he tried the other switch - Indicator lights are too small & close together, again another design feature that wouldn't have been as obvious without comparing to the other switch, there are two blue lights to show which device is currently connected to the peripherals but if the switch is sitting towards the back of the desk the lights are too small & close together for you to tell at a glance which device is connected This switch did occasionally seem to have an issue switching the peripheral inputs from one device to another and the button would need to be pressed again to get the input to show up on the correct device. This hasn't happened yet with the other switch. Switch we chose instead: SGEYR USB 3.0 Switch Selector, Metal USB Switcher Box with 2 Computers Sharing 4 USB Devices KVM Switch Box for Printer, Mouse, Scanner, PCs with One-Button Swapping and 2 Pack USB Cables (the one in the pictures with blue lettering) ... show more
