This devices actually works quite well. It allows easy switching of the monitor/keyboard/mouse/headphones with the simple push of a button. Problem is, that I would randomly get errors that my USB device (usually my mouse) was not recognized. Switching back and forth between devices would fix it... until it happened again. I ended up being the USB-to-USB cables that you plug the device into each computer with, which came with this unit. I purchased some high-quality replacements USB-to-USB cales and swapped them out and haven't had a problem since. It seems tiny compared to most KVMs, but I have a desktop, tablet, monitor, web cam, and headset with wireless KB/M and it switches between the systems easily while still able to share all those devices. I found this to be a much better option for price and value over a full-blown docking station. Works exactly as described. I also appreciate the inclusion of the remote button switch.

This was very easy to set up and get working. I have it set up between my Internet computer and my music studio computer. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star is that I get a high pitched low volume squeal every time I move my mouse IF only one computer is on. If both are on there is no squeal. To a musician that is very annoying. Even though I would still recommend this to anyone that needs a KVM switch. ... show more

I've gone through a few KVM switches, but have found this one to work exactly how I expect it to work. My setup is a mac laptop, a desktop and a 34inch lg monitor with 160hz refresh rate. The switching between mac and windows is seamless. I'm able to utilize one keyboard and monitor and share with my desktop and laptop. I use a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse so the kvm switch takes in a usb dongle. Its been over a week and I haven't had any cutoffs or had to reset the device. Excellent purchase. ... show more

This switch was quick and easy to install, the sticky pad for the remote was a nice extra. While it works perfectly fine for USB 2.0 and below, my external drive shows "Would work faster connected to a 3.0 port." So it is obviously not showing up as a 3.0 port on multiple computers, no matter which of the plugs used on the switch. ... show more
