  • Highly Impressed!!
Color: Black
Wow, I am very impressed with this paddle. I am an advanced intermediate player with experience with many different paddles. I primarily play with high-end Joola. I saw this paddle and thought for the price, I'd give it a try. After a competitive 2-hour session with this paddle, I am seriously considering making it my primary paddle. Here's what I like about it: 1. Excellent control. I was able to hit drops, spins, and drives consistently. 2. Power - this paddle is not a true power paddle, primarily due to its very light weight. However, for a more control oriented design it performed really well at both slams and speed ups. 3. Grip - I don't have particularly large hands and found the grip on this paddle to be just right for me. It's also wrapped in a nice tacky tape I am indifferent about the aesthetics of this paddle. The graphics are maybe a little busy, but I do like the rimless design. Overall, this paddle is an exceptional value for the money and I highly recommend anyone to give it a try. I'd say it's best suited to players who want excellent control without sacrificing too much power. ... show more

  • Good paddle to develop stronger spin game
Color: Black
As someone still getting the hang of topspin strokes, I wasn’t sure if a paddle like this would suit my skill level. But after a few sessions, this paddle does help me develop my game in all areas. - Backhand. My backhand is my stronger side and the paddle gives it a crisp, consistent feel. Whether I’m blocking or counter-hitting, the paddle responds with precision and control. - Spin Support. While I still struggle with topspin, the surface texture and grip actually help the ball stay on longer, making it easier to start generating spin with more confidence. My backhand spin visibly moves in the air in serves and from the baseline. (Yes, I serve backhand sometimes) - Comfortable Grip - The handle is perfect for developing players—ergonomic, lightweight, and easy to control without feeling too “pro-level” stiff or light. Overall, this is a great fit if you’ve got one reliable stroke and want to grow into the rest. It helps reinforce your strengths while gently supporting your weaker areas. For me, that means high confidence with my backhand while slowly unlocking the topspin game. ... show more

  • Good, not great, pickleball paddle
Color: Black
I like this Beikalen carbon fiber pickleball paddle. Still, after several hours of play, I find it less balanced (slightly heavier toward the tip) than either the Selkirk Luxx Control Air S2 or the Selkirk Amped Pro Air Epic, which are my "go-to" paddles. The grit surface of the Beikalen paddle allows for the ready imparting of spin during serves and returns. While the Beikalen paddle appears to have the same overall weight as the Amped Pro Air (although I did not weigh it), I found that its balance hindered fast reactions during speed-ups at the kitchen line. The 20mm honeycomb core of the Beikalen, like the Luxx Control Air, seems to allow the ball to "linger" on the paddle surface (although less than a millisecond), which gives more control. I also found the Beikalen to have a large, forgiving sweet spot. The grip is the same circumference as the Selkirks, and the grip cushion is just as tacky for countering the effects of sweaty palms. The Beikalen has an identical opening, "Air Dynamic Throat," as the Selkirk design (hmmm...). Its edgeless design construction makes for a good-looking paddle. I shared the paddle with four other 3.5-level players in my club. One loved the Beikalen (he's about 6'2" and 200 lbs; I am 5'5" and 130 lbs). Two, like me, were somewhat ambivalent and agreed with my assessment. One put it down with disdain after several serves and volleys. The Beikalen is an excellent value, offering playability and forgiveness for off-center shots. At the time of this review, it is one-quarter to one-fifth the cost of the Selkirk paddles I compared it to, thanks to a 50% off coupon being offered. It comes with a nice neoprene zippered case. Recommended. ... show more

  • Lightweight, Comfortable, and a Great Step-Up Paddle
Color: Black
I wanted a paddle I could transition to once I moved past the beginner stage, and I think I found it. This paddle is very lightweight yet sturdy, and it feels balanced in the hand with a comfortable grip. I let one of my more experienced friends try it, and they were impressed by its quality as well. I can already see this becoming my go-to paddle once I gain more confidence in my game. Pros: * Very lightweight and easy to maneuver * Comfortable, well-textured grip * Sturdy and high-quality build * Liked and approved by experienced players Cons: * None noted—it’s exactly what I was looking for My Use Case: I wanted a paddle that would grow with me as my skills improved, and this fits the bill perfectly. Tips for Buyers: Even if you’re still learning, a quality paddle like this can make a big difference in comfort and performance. Final Verdict: An excellent paddle for players looking to step up from beginner gear. Comfortable, durable, and worth the investment. ... show more

  • Good quality paddle - nice cover included
Color: Black
Got this through Vine since I've been getting more into pickleball and wanted to upgrade from my basic paddle. Really like the cover it comes with. Protects the paddle and looks nice. The paddle itself feels solid and well made. Carbon fiber face looks sleek and the grip feels comfortable. Haven't played with it enough to really tell the difference in spin control or power compared to my old paddle, but it definitely feels more premium. The weight seems good - not too heavy or light. I like the look of it. Has a nice clean design and the carbon fiber gives it a professional appearance. The honeycomb core is supposed to reduce vibration and it does feel pretty smooth when hitting the ball. Less jarring than my cheaper paddle. Good paddle so far. Seems like it should hold up well and the USAPA approval means I can use it in tournaments if I ever get to that level. ... show more
