1st impressions: The sticky side isn't all that sticky on furniture. Clean the furniture of all pet hair with a roller or vacuum before applying & it will help it stick. You could & should use the little pins that help the film adhere to furniture. I wish it came with a few. It also really stands out on furniture but you shouldn't need it forever & it beats replacing a couch. I'm trying to direct kitten to his scratching posts instead of the furniture which are in each room. On surfaces that aren't furniture but aren't a door or window either, I still wish it had more stick to it, but it stays & can easily be removed. The roll is big & gives you a lot of material to work with so you should have plenty in one roll. I don't see myself needing another. 1 important thing to note is this is marketed for a door, leather furniture, etc. I'm sure it would stick fine to a door. The couch protection (sold separately by Uross) does come with the pins that hold it onto furniture. But most people probably want the roll for both. End result: kitten totally ignores the area's I've placed these on & is using his scratching posts more then any other surface. Wish I did this much sooner.

I got these because my daughter moved in with her cat and I was worried about scratching. This comes with the little upholstery tacks or you can just use the adhesive to keep them in place. What I didn't like about it was the pieces - I got other brands to try out and this one was not my favorite because the spaces between pieces is enough for the cat claw to get through. I will use these on my doors, however, to keep my dogs from scratching the paint off the bottom.

I liked the idea of using this one sided sticky vinyl instead of the kind that is sticky on both sides, because that kind would just attract a bunch of pet hair, whereas, this product would not. It was not difficult to install, but unfortunately is did not stop my cat from scratching the sofa. While it provided more protection for the sofa than it would have had without it, my cat was able to puncture the vinyl, and there was some material from the couch pulled through the claw holes. I ended up taking the double sided tape to cover up where she scratched this stuff, which has worked, but does attract hair like I knew it would. Perhaps this would work for people that have kittens so they can train them early on not to scratch the furniture, but I am not sure of that since my cat is 7. This might work for some cats, but unfortunately not mine, and therefore I cannot rate it any better than I did.

I have a barn cat that likes to try to get my attention by scratching on one of my window screens. I got this for that purpose. I used two sheets and overlapped them. It works perfectly. They have held up well to the elements (the window is under a porch cover) and it has prevented the cat from damaging my screen. I really like that they are clear so they are not noticeable unless you look. You can obviously see them, but they don't jump out at you when you are just walking by.

I used these on my couch handles as well as the seats of my dining chairs. My cats are big scratchers and these have saved my furniture from getting scratched up! Highly recommend!

My daughter moved in with her 2 cats and they're trying to use my furniture as their personal scratching posts even though they have several scratching posts of their own. My couches are TWEED and that seems to be the PREFERRED FABRIC OF CATS! The Uross furniture protector roll has definitely helped keep them from scratching. Whenever I hear them scratching, I apply the protector to that area. The roll of plastic has a white paper backing that needs to be removed to reveal the adhesive side which easily sticks to most anything, but one cat loves chewing on plastic so I've had to use upholstery twist pins to keep her from peeling it off. I wish this roll came with its' own twist pins, like the ones that come with the Uross 12 Pack Furniture Protectors. I would've given 5 stars if upholstery pins were included.

Well, we have a cat that scratches the side of the chair, and thought we might give these a run. They arrived without any insert or directions although they were easy enough to figure out. Still, directions offer a measure of security plus there are sometimes warnings that are helpful to determine if I want to risk the fabric of the chair for the preservation of the side of the chair. Nothing to indicate if that might be an issue. We applied them nonetheless but what happened was the cat just moved to another part of that chair. We weren't sure we wanted to cover the entire chair with plastic tape. But the point of this review is to give our observation about if the product was effective. It was - and remains on to this day. Not sure what the removal of the sticky film will do - because we didn't have any paperwork in the packaging. Being old school, I like that.
